I asked a question about one of their lunch items on the lunch special that lasts until 3pm…..I was told I couldn’t order anything except a taco from whatever was already made because they were already closing. Odd because I walked up at around 2:30pm…She was rude on top of that. I can see why it looks like they don’t get much business. They literally turn you away during their own posted hours of food specials.

I ordered a large one half Hawaiian and half pepperoni with mushrooms. It was good. Tastes similar to the ones they serve at the Alamo Drafthouse. Crust was flavorful and firm, definitely not thin crust, but not fluffy. Peperonni thickness was thin. I ordered it with extra cheese, cheese was warm, soft, very tasty and satisfying, not too gooey and not too greasy. Sauce was salty and not too sweet or with weird flavors/afterflavors, just plain good pizza sauce. I do not know which style is it but didn’t seem like a New York Style Pizza that has to be eaten like a taco, these slices were normal sized. It’s decent. I’m glad I tried it, sometimes I get cravings for the Alamo Drafthouse pizzas so this will suffice for the next one.

Cons: I ordered over the phone. Their service over the phone is not good. They didn’t provide the total at the end of the call and just ended the call with an awkward “ok”. Something like “we’ll see you here in 15 minutes” would have worked. They also interrupted the process of taking the order to ask for name and phone number and then made me repeat the whole order. Need someone to coach then on call flows.

This used to be one of my favorite places to get barbacoa and breakfast tacos the staff was amazing and friendly and the food was fantastic.

That’s all changed about a year ago they changed staff and they changed everything and none of it for the better. The barbacoa was disgusting, I got a quesadilla and they put gravy in it. Who does that, the other day I was in a bind for time so I got two bacon egg and cheese tacos. I thought who could screw that up. They did, the eggs were green and had no flavor. The tortilla was stale. I didn’t even finish one I threw them away.

If you’re looking for a good breakfast taco in this area, go to La tapatia in Leander, boomers it Texas Taco kitchen in Liberty Hill, or the HEB gas station on Ronald Reagan and 29. Do not I repeat do not eat here. Avoid it like your life depends on it

Delicious pizzas! Our new favorite pizza place this far North of Austin. Will definitely be returning soon.

The pizza is amazing. Thin crust, firm, not greasy, kinda chewy; excellent fresh ingredients. I’ve eaten a lot of pizza in the Austin region, and this is easily as good as Arpeggio Grill (an Austin secret), and on the same level as Little Deli & Pizzeria and East Side Pies.

Their pastas are also better than many of the alternatives in the Leander area.

This little place is a sleeper hit, and is not at all what you would expect from gas station food. I think the secret to their success has been the limited menu selection; they are very good at making the few things they offer.

They also serve good quality craft beer on tap; my only complaint is that it is all IPA.

Giving 5 for service. I ordered their pizza through an online service but the service couldn’t get anyone to deliver so the staff delivered the pizza themselves. I have a disability that makes it hard to leave the house and this is the first time a small business pizza place has been like “hey grubhub/doordash/etc can’t deliver so we will just bring it to you”.

Giving a 4.5 for the pizza itself. The pepperoni was pretty good and I liked the crust, I do wish they had put a bit more sauce on both pizzas though. The sausage was okay, I didn’t care for the flavor of the sausage they used.

But I will definitely order again in the future!

Absolutely disgusting!
Save your money and stay away.
The employee preparing the food was taking money(dollar bills) and giving change, and going back to prepare food without changing his gloves. Who knows how long he had and kept those gloves on.

The pizza was good. Not the best I’ve ever had, but for the Northern Austin area, better than most!

One word of caution. Do NOT order through Slice, the pizza delivery company. We were supposed to receive our pizzas between 5:50 and 6 and, after calling Giovanni’s half a dozen times (ok, one knock on the restaurant, answer your dang phones guys) I found out that Slice never sent someone to pick up our pizzas. For what it’s worth, when my wife went to go pick up our pizza’s after getting no where with Slice, she talked to another woman who had the same issue.

So, the pizza, great. The only reason I’m not rating 5 stars is because no one answered the phone at Giovani’s until probably the 10th call (not exaggerating), and they should really drop Slice as a delivery option.

We typically enjoy this place. It’s nice that it’s right by the house and it’s pretty good food for a restaurant attached to a gas station mart. I was pretty disappointed this time around. I ordered the linguini scampi with chicken and asked to sub fresh tomato for the sun dried it comes with. What I received was not what I expected. The sauce is red (supposed to be garlic butter). I admit it could be the tomatoes, but it’s spicy which is not what a garlic butter sauce should be. And nothing else in this dish should be spicy. They also left off the mushrooms. It doesn’t taste bad, but it’s not what I ordered. My husband enjoyed his meal.
