Tried Giordano’s Trattoria Romano for the first time and had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The owner, Adele, was absolutely lovely. As soon as we mentioned it was our first visit, she took the time to walk us through the menu and made us feel right at home. The vibe inside has a warm, New York-style charm—exactly the feel she was going for—and you can tell the place is truly family-run. Even her son helps out, and the chef has been there for 20 years, which says a lot.
We started with the Caesar salad, which was super fresh and crisp with a nice peppery kick. I had the Giordano with chicken and angel hair pasta—light but packed with flavor—and my fiancé went with the veal marsala over linguine, which was rich and comforting. We shared a bottle of Montepulciano that was very reasonably priced and paired perfectly with the meal.
For dessert, we tried the chocolate gelato that came thinly sliced and dipped in chocolate. I’d never seen it served that way before, but it totally worked—light, cold, and just enough sweetness to end the meal.
We’ll definitely be back. It’s rare to find a spot that feels this welcoming and nails the food.

My wife and I were excited to go here with all the great reviews but it was not really as great as the reviews lead you to believe.
1st Atmosphere was very old school(pictures and settings) , kind of outdated and although we are both in our 50’s we were the youngest people in the restaurant. The patronage was made up of mostly retirees and people over 65+.
2nd Food was standard Italian, nothing super exciting, taste was good, the sauce was a bit bland for our taste, the rest was good. The presentation was nice, nothing fancy. The best part was the dessert , great taste, great presentation!
3rd Service was good, it seemed we were past from one server to another (3 in all) and it took a while to get a server to respond to us and a while for the check to come even though the restaurant was actually only 1/2 full.
We won’t be going back here, we felt the entire experience was not worth the almost $150+ we spent.

The chef with 21 years at Giordano knows how to package the product. Selection is great and portions just right.
Flavor is what one looks for and you don’t have to look far. Each dish exhibits the ingredients in proper style.

Oh my goodness, absolutely delicious the penne and meatballs, incredible. We had the mussels to start in a white wine garlic sauce, the best flavor ever! Then the wedge salad with the blue cheese dressing was so good, but didn’t seem like your typical wedge salad. But I would have it again!!
Over all it was awesome and the service was great as well. Our server was Anthony, good guy!!

Everything was great. Started with some wine and cocktails. We shared some fried calamari excellent not great or chewy. I had the chicken picatta with veggies instead of pasta. The chicken was ligh t ly breaded and the picatta sauce was thick(not watery) and lemony. My wife had the eggplant Rolland also with veggies. The eggplant was tender lightly breaded and stuffed with ricotta cheese. Magnificent! Our friends had gnocchi very good also and chicken piemontese basically chicken picatta but with artichokes and mushrooms instead of capers absolutely delicious. For dessert we shared a spumoni which also was fantastic. We had a nice chat with the owner Adele, lovely lady. Overall I don’t think you can do better if you want good Italian food. We will definitely return!

We visited with a group of five with mixed options on flavor as you would expect. Everyone agreed that the service was very good even though they were crowded we were never neglected. Their pastas were cooked well and seemed to have been prepared from scratch. Again, people in our party had various opinions on the flavor but everyone agreed that things were prepared well and everyone left full. The prices were excellent, the service was very good, and my meal was the best Italian food I’ve had in Cave Creek/Carefree. I look forward to trying it again!

All I can say is WOW! Truly impressed with the Italian dishes here. Real horseradish in the Shrimp Cocktail and absolutely delectable dishes! Lamb was superb in the Cannelloni Florentine and Chicken Parmesan was tender. Quality ingredients and the staff was delightful. Thank you so much! ❤️

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST overall experience I have had in a LONG time. Waitress and waiters are genuinely polite caring an down to earth. They made my daughter and I feel super comfortable although we had never been there. They examined everything from the menus to the desserts to the specials of the day. The ambiance is so nice you don’t even want to leave. We went at 5pm before it got too crowded. Remember to make a reservation. We had the special which was shrimp scampi over lobster ravioli, my daughter had manicotti . She is vegetarian and they had many options to accommodate that she could have chosen from. We had tiramisu and cheesecake to die for and only $9 each. We got another cheesecake with strawberry topping to take home. We don’t drink but great wine options available as well huge selection etc. From start to finish a flawless seamless fabulous 10 star experience!!!!!Thank you Adrianna (I think that was our waitress name). You are the best!!!!!
