Phenomenal experience here! I got the premium chirashi bowl which was incredible value considering the type of sushi (uni, toro, caviar, ama-ebi) and that it was from Tsukiji market in Japan. Service was great and the waiters and chefs were super nice and gave us many extras. The quality to price ratio of the fish was some of the best value I’ve had in SF!

We usually do takeout but decided to dine in. It wasn’t crowded at the time. We ordered our usual rolls. Despite the place being empty, it did take a few minutes for them to seat us. Another patron waited a while and finally gave ip. We had to flag them down to get our bill. Sushi is good albeit pricey. If you decide to dine in then give yourself time.

The food was really good, escpacially the chef’s specials. Really tasty sushi. The service of drinks and food was fast. The atmosphere was okay, the restroom was untidy and had no soap.

As a vegetarian I appreciated the amount of veggie rolls available here. Got the avocado rolls and few of their specialties. Everything was delicious. Appreciated that the rolls were actually bite size!! The strawberry lemonade with sake was fun as well. Next time will likely order to go and eat at golden gate park right down the street.

I would have to say I have a very unhealthy relationship with this restaurant. The fact that its a block away from where I live, the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent is just the tip of the iceberg of how awesome this place is.

Update: upon visiting again, 2 stars removed off freshness and taste of nigiri + atmosphere. Went at lunch on a Thursday and upon walking in, the room had a strong odor of strong cleaners mixed with dirty bathroom/urinal. I ordered the 14.99$ 6 piece chefs choice combo. Unfortunately the shrimp tasted sour and old with an odd odor to it which took a bit to clean the palate in order to enjoy the rest of the meal.

I love coming here during lunch. The vibes are perfect for me. Chill, yummy food and sincere service. Nigiri was cut on the smaller side. When you eat freshly prepared food you don’t large quantities. Vegetables for the tempura were better than the shrimp. Keiryo roll was nice, light and tasty. I leave here feeling refreshed. Will be back for sure.

awesome happy hour menu! the karaage chicken was so freakin good and crispy! the location isn’t the most convenient because it’s not near a Bart station but it’s definitely worth visiting. lots of cool shops nearby too!
