Extraordinary Japanese place. Sushi was great, fresh and flavorful. A bit on the pricey side, but it goes with the quality. A great food option near Amoeba Music

This place had become my favorite Japanese Restaurant in SF. All the fish are so fresh everything was so gooooood and try the mystery box we loved it. The salad was really refreshing. I think the steak was just ok though.

Our party of 5 was seated immediately. Orders came fast. We enjoyed all the food that we ordered. Our children who live in SF recommended the place to us. It’s one of their favorite sushi places.

We came late on a Friday night and there was no wait. The service was really good and the waitress patiently explained each dish to us and recommended the mystery box. We ended up ordering that and two variations of their tempura tacos, spicy salmon and spicy tuna. All of the food was incredible and the fish was super fresh and really well prepared. Definitely coming back next time.

First time here with friends and it’s my favorite spot so far. Food was delicious and great flavors. We got kara-age chicken, the Ginza rolls, Usuzukuri salmon, Gyu steak , Spicy marugo salad, Mystery box and Fried vanilla ball for dessert. All dishes was excellent. I loved sashimi with good quality and so fresh. Best sushi place in the area and we will definitely be back.

A high three star like 3.8, but I believe a bit overpriced for alright quality. Atmosphere was very good, and we sat at the bar. Many staff members welcomed us in once we stepped through the door.

The gyu steak was underwhelming for us, and we did not have a choice in the rareness of the steak. It was very well done, but we prefer something medium rare. The salmon sashimi was my favorite and reminded me of certain ceviche I’ve had but with an asian twist with the wakame and sesame. Blue fin tataki was alright but my preference would be to sear the fish less cooked with a hotter sear so only the outside gets cooked. Still a solid meal with friendly staff and nice ambiance. I don’t see myself visiting a lot but it hit my sushi craving!

Small, unassuming sushi joint with fun dramatic Japanese paintings on the wall. Beautiful food presentation! We had the recommended rolls: Ginza, Keiryo, Umi. We also had the Kazan roll. Agedashi tofu, garlic edamame, fried squid and Japanese curry. Everything was wonderful! Highly recommend. Service was a bit slow: there was only one server and they were busy, but it was good service, none the less.

Great spot!

We popped in for a quick bite of sushi and were very satisfied. I had a custom substitution on the sushi roll and they were able to accommodate with no problem. Sushi came out very fast and tasted great.

The best part however was the hidden gem of the Lychee Sweet Tea – that was SO GOOD!! Very sweet, but the flavor was perfect!

Service was great and the restaurant was clean and cozy. Not too busy on a Saturday afternoon, and it served as a lovely respite from the rain.

We’re from out of town otherwise I’d be here very often!

Just had a the most bizarre experience, after having been a regular customer since they opened. I typically order take out, including a note that requests extra sauce on the Chicken Ka-arge.

When I got home with my food, there wasn’t an extra sauce, but worse, the one I had was barely filled. It had like 1/16” of sauce in it. So I headed back to get some sauce and pout out the tiny amount. This was just inconvenient, but,Then it got weird.

The hostess/server looked up my order and said, “There’s an extra charge for more sauce.” (Never has been) And, next time I’d have to pay. She handed me a sauce. When I pointed out that I really wanted 2 sauces, that the first was basically empty. She absolutely refused to acknowledge the lame first sauce, and would not give me a “second sauce.” I told her I’d been a customer for years, but she didn’t care one iota. Then when I said, “Well you’ve just lost a customer.” She responded with “Ok, give me the sauce back then.”

Sadly, as much as I’ve enjoyed their food over the years, I’ve also enjoyed the customer care and hospitality that no longer seems to exist.

Absolutely one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had in San Francisco! Ginza flies in their fish straight from Tokyo’s Tsukiji and Toyosu markets, and you can taste the freshness in every bite.

We had the Signature Edit menu and loved everything — the thin-sliced Hamachi with ponzu truffle was so delicate, the weekly-changing sushi and sashimi platter was beautiful and full of variety, and the Tsukiji Fish Sampler let us try amazing seasonal catches. The Scallop Udon Soup was warm and comforting, and the Bara Roll with soy-marinated bluefin tuna was the perfect ending.

Not only was the food incredible, but the service was warm and attentive. If you love sushi or just want a special night out, this place is a must. ✨
