I am sharing my experience so that other customers and the business owner are aware of the behavior I encountered at this location.
During my recent visit, I faced extremely unprofessional behavior from the receptionist. In my 47 years of life, I have never come across such rudeness. She threw my business card into the trash in front of me and another customer, which was deeply disrespectful and humiliating. Due to her attitude, I left the place immediately without any argument.
As an accountant and service provider, I offer my services on a two-month trial basis—with payment only in the third month if the client is fully satisfied. Three months ago, I visited this Century Ave location to briefly drop off my card because the owner was busy with the lunch crowd. At that time, I even left positive remarks about the staff and environment based on my impression.
Two days ago, I returned and politely asked to meet the owner. The receptionist questioned the purpose, and I explained. She repeated the same response she gave months earlier. When I asked about the owner’s availability, she suddenly recognized that I was the accountant and showed me the same card I had left previously—then threw it into the garbage in front of me and another customer.
This experience was truly disappointing. I sincerely hope the owner addresses this matter and provides proper training to ensure respectful and professional behavior toward all customers.

Tasty sandwiches… Good fillings and well made!
Gino’s has been around for a long time… I have always heard they’re very good.
I did not realize that they sold so much ready to go cook at home food, and even basics for making your own Italian meals.
The shop is easy to access with good parking. Staff is nice. And indoor and outdoor seating is comfortable.

On a whim, tried a sample of the cajun chicken salad pasta and was immediately hooked! (Pretty much the only reason I go to Gino’s). Today I purchased my favorite pasta salad and it seems they’ve decided to change the recipe! No more pineapple (my favorite part). If I knew this I would not have ordered it! Bummer!

Had to have some Gino’s meat lasagna. I drive from Sun Prairie to Middleton, but it is worth the drive. Still very much miss Gino’s on State Street downtown. I bought 2 pans!

I’ve been in several times. I’ve tried several of their sandwiches. Haven’t found one yet that has hit the button. The burgundy beef and lasagna are delicious. The service is prompt, but it is very apparent that nobody likes their job. Nobody smiles EVER and there isn’t a positive vibe in the joint. Curt is the most polite way to put it.
