Hands down the best place in Pekin to eat. Not just best asian food, the BEST food period! The food is always delicious and reasonably priced. You eat with your eyes first and their plating is true artistry. The atmosphere is lovely and Jin & Steve the owners are lovely! Lunch specials are $5.25 and include soup or spring rolls, fried rice and an entree. For $1 more you get soup AND spring rolls! Can’t beat it. Most dinners are around $9 and range to $14 (seafood). Try the coconut lime pistachio chicken it is amazing! This is not one of the many crap Asian buffets around Pekin. This is a wonderful sit down restaurant! Get yourself to Ginger ASAP.

Very good Asian food. The lunch specials can’t be beat. Unfortunately, the dining room needs some refreshing. The backrests and seats of most booths are becoming threadbare. The area on the other side of the room partition, used for seating in busy times, is dirty and unkept. My wife used the restroom and announced that it was filthy with cleaning supplies and urine on the floor, and a black ring around the toilet bowl. Disgusting.

Ginger Asian Bistro has been a staple in our family for years. The food is consistently served hot and well prepared.
OVERALL: The place is clean; it does look worn down, but the quality of the food FAR outweighs the aesthetics of the business.
SERVICE: Service is fast enough, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The owner always takes time to go out of her way to talk to the regulars. Gingers offers takeout.
IS IT CLEAN? Yes, the floors and tables are consistently clean even when busy. The restrooms are clean and always seem to be stocked.
COST: Cost is pretty good, and most items are priced well for the amount you get.
FOOD: GREAT! Food is freshly made, presented well, and has many unique flavors. The food is authentic Chinese and definitely worth trying a variety of things. I like the boiled fish/beef and the black peppered beef, which I usually switch to chicken. There is a great variety, and it is Kid-friendly (as long as your kids like trying other ethnic foods).
DIETARY RESTRICTIONS? They have a gluten-free section on their menu.

Food is excellent! I had the pistachio crusted sea bass with fried rice and it was wonderful! Service was great. The atmosphere is lacking. Tables hadn’t been bussed, front counter in disarray, some booth seats very worn down. However, staff was very friendly and attentive!

10/10 would recommend. Everytime I have ordered here my food has been great! Not your traditional Asian food. In my opinion, it is definitely the best Asian restaurant in the tri county area. Probably beyond that too honestly. I have only ever ordered via grub hub or carry out but the food is always hot by the time it gets home. (Pekin to Morton)
Prices are fair, menu is vast and the attention to detail in taste and the amount of care is something that is really noticeable in what sets them apart from all of the other places.

Had dinner yesterday for the first time (only enjoyed their lunch specials previously). Wonderful! The spring rolls have a great sauce, presentation was above what is usual for the Central IL area, and the food was flavorful and definitely generous portions. You can order anything with more heat, if desired, and we loved that the menu addresses vegetarian, vegan and other dietary needs. Well worth the trip!
