Gina’s Trattoria: Our New Five-Star Family Favorite!
We just had the most fantastic time at Gina’s Trattoria! This place truly deserves all the hype and is officially our new go-to spot for family dinner.
The food was absolutely outstanding, and the portions were generous. We ordered a large cheese pizza for the table, which was perfectly cooked with a crispy crust and incredible sauce. I also ordered the calzone, and it was huge—stuffed full and perfectly baked. The Caesar salad was fresh and a great counterpoint to the mains, and my sweet tea was spot on.
A true measure of a family restaurant is what the kids think, and they loved it! My little ones were thrilled with the cheese burgers and crispy french fries, and they demolished their share of the large pizza. The staff were wonderful and so patient, making the whole experience relaxed and fun.
If you’re looking for genuinely great Italian/American food and a guaranteed good time with the whole family, look no further than Gina’s Trattoria. We can’t wait to come back!

We came up for a day trip and were disappointed that everywhere we went was closed. We did a google search for restaurants in hopes that one would be open. We found Gina’s and decided to go, we were hoping that they were open and they were. We didn’t expect it to be as good as it was. We ordered a pizza and some dessert after. The pizza was amazing! It was hard to stop eating it lol. But we saved some pizza for later and ordered some lemon cello cake, which was also amazing. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be returning soon!

On Saturday, February 21, we had family from out of town and wanted to have dinner for 21. We ranted and raved about how good Gina’s was. So rather than showing up with that big of a party, I called ahead. I told the gentleman who answered the phone we would be arriving at 6:30. He asked if we could get there at 6:00, but that was not possible. I asked what time they closed, he said 8:30. So he turned down an opportunity to make lots of money and for a member of the wait staff to get a really good tip because they may have to stay a little past 8:30. Would they have turned us away if we had just shown up?
Unfortunately, I just told him we would go somewhere else. Rather than trying to accommodate us, he said, “Okay”. No, this is not okay! I can promise you I will never go back there again!!!

Excellent dining choice in Lexington. I took my family here just the other day for a lunch and things have changes since my last visit probably 4+ months ago. They have expanded their seating area into the adjacent space and it has made a huge difference. Much better spacing between tables and the area is well lit and nicely done. I don’t recall the menu last time but it seems like there are more choices. Even if its not new, there are a lot of choices at Gina’s. We had mozzarella sticks for an appetizer, which were very good and had a great crunch. For mains we had an Angelina sub, Steak & Cheese Special sub, Garlic Parmesan Boneless Wings, and a Fish & Chips from the daily specials list. Every item was prepared well and tasted great. It was a tough decision on what to get since there was so many options. We’ll definitely be back as there are many menu items I was considering. Overall, this is a great option for dining out in Lexington for good food at a very reasonable cost.

A hidden gem. I was just passing through on my way home to Philadelphia and found an Italian restaurant with amazing pizza. This family friendly sit down or take out restaurant was truly delight. Very friendly service. Did I mention the pizza was amazing?! Pizza had a chewy crunch crust with fresh mozzarella, homemade sauce, and a hint of fresh basil. Will definitely be back next time I’m in this area.

We ordered take out from Gina’s, order was ready in 15-20 mins. Restaurant was very clean and we were greeted right away by very friendly staff. We ordered a 16″ onion and pepperoni pizza, a regular calzone, and a slice of limoncello cake. Everything was excellent!!! My husband said it was the best pizza he has had in a long time. Sauce was delicious, crust perfect! The calzone was everything a calzone should be! Dough was tender, filling was plenty and cheesy, and the ham delicious. The cake was a wonderful treat to share. I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the delicious selections. Next time we are in the area I think we will dine-in, will definitely eat here again!

Clean and plenty of seating. Staff is very attentive, all the way staff checks on you throughout your stay. The owner even checks on their customers no matter how busy they are. Besides Great Service and Good food Gina’s does fund raiser for area families that are in need of assistance. Yesterday 5/6/2023 she had a Classic Car Cruise In (3rd Annual event) and door prices, raffles, 50/50 drawings, music.
