I’d walked past Sin Rummy BBQ so many times and always wondered why the line was so long. We finally decided to join it and see what the hype was about.

One thing I really liked was their QR code system—you can scan it while you’re waiting and order drinks, and a server actually brings them out to you in line. Honestly, sipping a drink while waiting made the whole experience way more fun and convenient.

They’re only open for about three hours on weekends, so that definitely explains the crazy lines. But after trying the food, I get it—the grilled meat is seriously delicious. In the back you can see these huge grills going nonstop, and the staff are hustling the whole time because the place is packed.

We tried a few different meats, and our favorites were the pork chops and the grilled bone marrow. The bone marrow was especially amazing—great texture and super flavorful. My kids loved it and couldn’t stop talking about it.

I saw this place on Instagram. The bar b que is amazing. The meat is tender and juicy. There is a long line, but it is worth the wait. He is really nice. It’s expensive but worth it

The BBQ is on point. The meat was cooked perfectly and not dried with just enough seasoning. It’s a bit pricey for two so bring 4 or more to enjoy more varieties. Drinks were top notch. If you are in LA, must try. I don’t know if they do this every day.

Came for APL bbq but definitely enjoyed some nice drinks here. Also had the appetizers – Brussels sprouts & fried cauliflower , both delicious. Fun vibe with sand and old school jams. Great way to spend a weekend.

We were filming nearby, and catered our food with Gin Rummy! The whole team absolutely loved it! The Burgers & Fries were gone instantaneously! The Vegan and Veggie options were a huge hit as well! Wonderful costumer service – would recommend for going out and take out with large groups any time! WE LOVE GIN RUMMY <3

This review is for the Adam Perry Lang pop-up BBQ. I’m from the Midwest, we produce a majority of the pork for the country. I’ve grown up around livestock, and know my meat from birth to harvest. The absolute ridiculous pricing for less than sub-par BBQ is laughable. Went on a Sunday and the line was around the corner, I was really expecting something fantastic. The pop-up opened almost an hour late, which was fine because you can order drinks and the excellent staff delivers to you while in line. Went through the menu and almost choked when I saw the prices. $157 for a $20 Costco rack of Lamb, $67 for a rack of spare ribs which would cost you $13 at the store. Prices aside, decided on the pork ribs, ordered through the kiosk and waited an additional 45 mins for the ribs to be chopped and served, I was 12th in line. Opened the ribs and found the silver skin still attached. I’ve NEVER had a rack of ribs served with the silver skin still attached. ANYONE with ANY BBQ knowledge knows this is a faux pas. The smoke flavor was weak and the sauce wasn’t great. The pickles and peppers were far better than the meat. Ate about 3 ribs out of extreme hunger and the rest of the rack went in the trash where this BBQ belongs. Please find a qualified pit master. Adam Perry Lang may have authored a BBQ book, that does not qualify him to rip people off. You’re doing a disservice to the food service industry by supporting his subpar product. As far as the Gin Rummy drinks and staff, they’re excellent, and should be supported with your dollars.

Finally made a trip to Gin Rummy. We loves a good tiki bar and this one is not bad. The drinks we had were excellent. We got the nui nui and the scorpion sting. The scorpion had a nice spicy kick at the end of each sip but was front loaded with sweet juicyness. It was lovely. We also got shrimp tacos and carne asada and the cauliflower and the smokey Caesar salad. The tacos were serviceable if a bit dry. Decent flavor. The person who ordered the salad loved it. A live DJ was spinning yacht rock and the volume was way high for us olds; had a little trouble conversing. But the mostly young crowd had no issues. Love the 4 pinball machines that take credit cards and not quarters. $1 gets you 5 balls. Valet or street parking only. Would go back as it is a great place for a small group hang.

I loved my vegan food here, it’s so good that next to all the meat, they thought of plant-based eaters being able to join…thank you! I had super delicious, juicy and fresh mushroom tacos and vegan chicken and chips basket with a great cheesy dip. Lovely! Rum cocktail too…

So Happy to have this Island inspired hang out in the area! The space is perfect for a beachy vibe. The drinks are amazing and beautifully crafted. the Singapore Sting is a great rendition on the original. The Happy Hour Margarita was delicious and had plenty of spirit to it. The food will need some time to catch up to the drinks. We had happy hour coconut shrimp and tempura calamari. The food was over fried and the flavors didn’t come through. I’m sure this team will improve! Looking forward to a great summer.
