Gil’s is always a great meal!
It sounds like a long drive, but Hanna City is only about 10-15 minutes past the Peoria Airport. Gil’s is well known for their delicious Fried Chicken (buy the 1/2 chicken so you can take another heal home for later) Never leave without having a Corn Fritter or two (or five!!. They are so good!! Tonight, I ordered Blue Gill. It came with 2 sides of my choice. I choose Coleslaw and Mashed Potatoes. If you’re in the Peoria area, stop in at Gil’s. You’ll be glad you did!!

Been coming to this place since 1964. Every year for my birthday as a kid, we’d always come here. Get fried chicken and corn frears and either French fries or baked potato. Food was good, had fried chicken. Atmosphere was good, playoffs on tv. Server was not very attentive and our bill was $52.94 and I put $102.94 on table and she asked if I needed change, of course I did. Issue with this, which may not to be a big deal to others but she brought back $49.00. I do know math and she even used a register and brought back wrong change. As cheap as it sounds, out of frustration I simply left the $9.00. This was on the Warehouse side of Gils.

Just excellent restaurant ran by great servers cooks cleanliness gets 5+ stars bathrooms 5 stars always clean tables sparkling parking lot clean and well paved and lit. I work At embassy Suits in East Peoria and I send guests here tom eat all the time I com here sat least once a month never bad meal.These mom and pop restaurants are the easy to dine to cooperate chain garbage.I will not send my guest ti those places that charge $20 for a precooked microwaved meals.Thank you for the stack of menus I will have to come out and get more sometime next week.
