The crowd was diverse and full of sports enthusiasts, which added great energy to the space. The venue features two levels with large tables that comfortably seat eight without feeling crowded, plus big screens everywhere so you don’t miss a play. On Saturday nights after 9, a DJ sets the vibe between plays, creating a lively, upbeat atmosphere.
While the food didn’t particularly stand out — it was more in line with standard sports bar fare — the overall experience was solid. 8/10 overall

Had an absolutely amazing time at Gilly’s!! Natasha (server) was so kind and enthusiastic about making sure my friends and I had a fantastic time on game day. She helped us have such a fun night, will be going back again to receive the same amazing service soon. The managers Madison and Alex were also fantastic and present, making sure everything went smoothly during a jam packed viewing at their gorgeous space. Madison was so kind and is honestly such a major example of a GIRLBOSS!!!! Loved this place and the experience!!!

Atmosphere is great! No doubt about that. Our server was very kind and attentive as well!

The food though. Wanted to love it so much but I just didn’t. It’s so sub par when I really expected it to be excellent based on the ambiance and decor of this place (and prices). We ordered the mini corn dogs, pizza rolls, chicken muffuletta, guacamole and chips and also a burger. The guacamole was the standout to be honest. The mini corn dogs and pizza rolls felt like they came out of a freezer and the chicken muffuletta? Not worth the price at all in my opinion. No chips, no fries, nothing on the side and it’s $19. Which would have been fine if it was an excellent sandwich. The chicken was extremely thin and over fried- the color was very dark brown. Overall lacked flavor- was just ok. Edible. But not enjoyable. Just disappointed with the food..what a shame. Probably wouldn’t come back to eat ever again- maybe just a drink. Not worth the prices at all.

APPARENTLY THEY ADD 20 PERCENT GRATUITY AUTOMATICALLY SO DON’T GET FOOLED LIKE WE DID AND LEAVE ADDITIONAL TIP. THEY DON’T GIVE YOU A PRINTED RECEIPT WHICH MAKES IT EASY FOR YOU TO MISS THIS!!!

Went before a Tiger playoff game and had a blast. Food was amazing, bar food done right. Delicious and well prepared. My only nock is the bottled beer selection, random and apparently ever changing. Food, drinks and atmosphere were excellent!

Such a great gem in downtown Detroit. Perfect place to catch a game. I brought my kids to watch the Michigan vs state bb game and they loved it as well. Great food as well! We ordered just about everything on the menu!

Our server Asia was awesome and the GM Alexander was super accommodating. Even let my kids go upstairs to play some of the arcade games they had.

Looking forward to coming back.

Small overpriced menu. Ignored by waitress as they socialized at the bar with other employees. Food was cold and boring. This place is very overrated. However bar was cozy and lots of TVs playing sports.

Ivy was our waitress today. 100/10 service. This was our first time at Gilly’s (trying something new). Ivy was extremely attentive and super kind (and not in the required way or the fake way for tips — she is very genuine). If you ever get to check it out, I do hope you are served by Ivy. Outside of the excellent service, the restaurant is very cute. We came during lunch time, when they were slower, not too loud. Ambience was amazing.

Employees were great. Tried to book reservations but couldn’t. They don’t take reservations on game days. When you get there nothing is available because they have reservations coming in. I had a White Castle burger with a $19 price tag. No fries. Was not worth it. If you’re looking for a great atmosphere this is your place. I recommend eating before you come. Oh and $17 for six wings.

We made a reservation for the roof and we were a little early. The man at the front door wouldn’t let us go in early. Even though when we went to the rooftop it was pretty empty. The host was really nice upstairs! There is Mexican food truck food there only. Completely different menu than downstairs, so be aware of that. Unfortunately I didn’t notice if gratuity was added onto my bill. If it was I was not notified, and I find that to be SUPER DECEIVING AND WILL NOT GO BACK. People need to be notified if gratuity was added. We only had 4 people.
