I was out downtown Cleveland last night and stopped into Gillespie’s Map Room for the first time. It was exactly what I expected—in the best way.
It truly feels like a neighborhood bar. The Irish flags, the Cleveland memorabilia on the walls, and the overall atmosphere make it warm, familiar, and welcoming. The bartender was informative and welcoming, which made the experience easy and comfortable.
I had great conversation with a friend and genuinely enjoyed my time there. It’s a relaxed, unpretentious spot that feels very Cleveland.

Gillespie’s Map Room was a fun time my buddy really enjoyed the pizza. Beer was cold. Atmosphere was fun on a Saturday got a couple spots at the bar was full and initially went downstairs but went back up for food and found a spot. Groups next to us were fun and interesting. Would check it out again.

A great spot for any sporting event or pregame weekend festivities. Pizza and chicago dogs are amazing, classic bar grub that doesn’t miss anytime you order. Prices are decent and atmosphere has always been pretty decent. It gets pretty crowded with yuppies, can be hard to get a seat/table depending on when you come.

One of the best kept secrets in downtown Cleveland. They have fantastic pizza and a great bar. Very cool ambiance and the service staff is great. This is an awesome spot to catch a game or start out before going to an event. Nice patio area and plenty of room around the bar. There’s also a nice lounge area in the back with some parlor games.

Dive bar with amazing late night pizza. If you don’t know about map room you need to check this place out next time you find yourself downtown after midnight. Seem to get busier as the night begins to fade. After a night of drinking their is nothing better than their pizza!!!
They have a good number of TV’s to watch the game and friendly staff. Great to have a dive bar in this area!

We were in town for the night and were just looking for a decent place to watch the college games. We stopped by a few different places before we landed here. It was a decidedly younger crowd but we fell right into place and had a great time. I ordered a pizza and loaded tots. Both were really good. The place was full but the service was good.
