This sandwich is worth the hype and trip, it’s really good. The price they charge is worth it. They do great salads and make very good bread. Came in on Saturday and it was busy but service was fast. There was also live music too. Idk if that’s a normal Saturday thing but it added to the atmosphere of this place. Make sure to come hungry and bring a friend. One sandwich is good enough for 2 people to share.

The sandwiches are delicious and filling definitely satisfying. The outdoor seating is also great, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a beautiful day. The overall atmosphere is pleasant, though the food is a bit underwhelming. Still, it’s a relaxing place worth visiting.

People aren’t kidding about the big portions! Everything was high quality, and I loved that you can just sit and grab yourself another cup of coffee. It’s like a coffee shop on steroids:). You pay at the counter and they bring food out. You get coffee/water and utensils yourself.

Gilbert’s on Main has become a regular spot for me, thanks to its beautiful atmosphere both indoors and out. The cozy charm extends to its outdoor seating, which would’ve been perfect if the weather had cooperated. Food portions are generous. It’s definitely nice when you’re hungry. One letdown was the coffee; for the price, I expected more than self-service drip. Parking is a bit of a hassle with limited street options nearby, so plan ahead. A pleasant surprise was the shelf of random books available for kids, which helped keep them entertained. Overall, it’s a warm, inviting spot worth returning to despite a few small quirks.

Very disappointed by the service and quality of this establishment. The immediate shock of the prices on the food menu to the casual atmosphere of the restaurant, was only made more disproportionate when I was served a cappuccino in a regular glass. Making it cold, and very difficult to drink. There were also no utensils provided for the food, and there appeared to be a general lackadaisical approach to the service. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend, the quality of the food is nothing spectacular and certainly not enough to compensate for the rest of the restaurants many challenges.

We’ve been coming to Gilbert’s on and off for decades, but this is probably the last time (at least for breakfast). Jury is still out for lunch. The prices have become obscene for pretty basic fare. We made the mistake (again) of ordering two full-sized breakfast options which was enough for four. Sadly though, we left feeling dissatisfied as it’s just so basic. It’s difficult to stomach $60 for two for breakfast when there are so many wonderful options around town at nearly half the price.

First time. You can tell the food is cooked in a marinated kitchen. Pan is full of flavor. Food is decent but not worth the price even though the portion is big. Found hair in my omelette so that was a bit of a turn off. It’s self service except for the busing part.

Breakfast here was delightful. Reminded me of some good Southern and hearty style food. We split the omelette which was very flavorful and the cheese inside was super melted and Gouda .
We also ordered the blueberry walnut pancakes which were sooo huge, so we split that too. Definitely recommend.

I had an excellent experience at Gilbert’s on Main in Bellevue, WA!
We ordered the Pastrami Sandwiches and the Scrambled Eggs with French Toast, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The pastrami sandwiches were perfectly crafted with fresh ingredients, but they were so generously sized that they were a bit hard to eat by hand! The scrambled eggs with French toast were cooked to perfection.
The menu offers a wonderful variety of options, and everything we tried exceeded our expectations. The service was friendly and attentive, making our meal even more enjoyable. The cozy, charming atmosphere of the restaurant added to the overall delightful dining experience. I highly recommend Gilbert’s on Main for anyone looking for a great place to eat. I’ll definitely be returning soon!
