I’m about to double back. Started to eat the plate too. Baked chicken was so tender. Gravy all over that rice was on point. Killed the cabbage and the yams was sweet but not overpoweringly sweet. My sister had the fried chicken with collards and Mac. Everything was on point. And that sweet tea is definitely some down south sweet tea. Highly recommended. Oh and I’ll be back for that red velvet cake for sure.

I tried this place for the first time today via Uber Eats. The cube steak is so delicious. It was very tender and seasoned well.

However, I felt my sides were lacking. The mac & cheese and rice were just okay. Im not a fan of the dressing. I have never had cornbread dressing that taste so sweet. I almost wonder if someone made an error and used more sugar when they were making it. They also use the same gravy from the cube steak on the dressing and I was not a fan of that. They don’t taste well together. The cornbread muffin was pretty good though.

Something definitely has changed at Gigi’s. I have not ate here in probably about a year and a half but my food was awful. I ordered the turkey wing dressing, collard greens. My mother ordered the same thing, but she had a third side mac & cheese. The turkey wing was good. The collard greens were swimming in oil not seasoned and dressing was horrible. The corn muffin was dry. Does your chef sample the food before you serve it? I’ve never been so disappointment! I want my 46.00 back. The pictures are the remaining food that we didn’t eat. Your food use to be amazingly good. Really need to do better my black queen.

the food was good, but not great and small portions for the price. the chicken had a good flavor, but was a little dry and the yams were too sweet without the savory kick of cinnamon or nutmeg, so they taste flat. the dressing was okay. i would try them again, but would go a little earlier in the day. the service was awesome and the atmosphere was very welcoming. you also can’t sub rice for other sides, which is atypical in my experience of soul food restaurants.

The food here is amazing! We got the baked chicken, smothered pork chops, and veggie plate. The food was ready fast and it was delicious! The women behind the counter was very nice. Everything looked clean. We will definitely be back again!

This was my first time trying GiGi’s but I’ve heard great things so I decided to give them a try since their Re-grand opening. My overall rating for GiGi’s is a 7/10. PROS: the cabbage and collard greens were among the tastiest items I ordered. Cubed steak very tender and seasoned well, gravy was also good, and cashier was very sweet. CONS: I did not like how I couldn’t see my plates being prepared. I was under the impression that the different items would be displayed behind the glass by the cashier but nothing was there. Compared to other soul food restaurants the servings here were small especially for the cost. For example, the smothered pork chops should come with 2 chops for $16 not 1. And I’m not sure if it was because it was the end of the day but the smothered pork chop was on the dry side. The cooks also forgot my gravy for the top of my rice but the cashier was happy to get me some. Gigi’s is also expensive, I paid $77 for 5 plates and not all had meat on them. I would try Gigi’s again but would try other options and go before 5pm.

This was first time trying GiGi’s. We spent $42 on two plates and 1 extra side. I had a four piece chicken wing , Mac n cheese , yams , & dressing . My chicken was very good but my sides were not it. My Mac n cheese had a lot of flavor but was dry , yams weren’t sweet , my dressing was not good at all . Cornbread wasn’t good very dry . My bf got a baked chicken plate with Mac n cheese and sweet potato casserole. He stated the chicken was good. Sides were decent and may have not been as good because it wasn’t fresh.

Gigi’s Place has a charming atmosphere with plenty of seating, making it a comfortable spot for a meal. The touch screen ordering process is simple and efficient, allowing you to place your order without any interaction with staff. While this streamlined system is convenient, it does take away some of the personal touch you’d expect from a boutique soul food restaurant.

All orders are naturally to-go after using the screen, but when the staff brought out the food, they were courteous and nice. The food itself was okay—decent enough if you don’t feel like cooking, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, Gigi’s Place is an okay option for a quick bite, but it could use a little extra seasoning. As stated before in another review, the corn bread is ordered separately but you can tell that it was homemade and it was delicious.

The food here is really good. We got the smothered pork chops and turkey wing. Those chops were so tender and seasoned perfectly. I mean, it was damn good y’all. We got rice, dressing, cabbage, Mac and cheese, and cranberry sauce as sides and I swear it was like Thanksgiving!!! The turkey wing was the only thing that was just ok. A suggestion, not a harsh criticism is maybe a little more flavor in the gravy. It was kind of bland for me. They give you corn muffins with your meal which were a bit sweet and buttery. Very nice touch to complete the meal. In total we paid about $17 per plate and it was worth every penny. Give that turkey wing a little oomph and you will definitely be at 5 stars.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am from Jacksonville Florida, was out on mission and needed lunch that was close by in the area.

First let me say Nikeya, ( I hope I spelled her name right) was amazing. Best customer service I have had in a long time. She was kind, patient and very helpful. I ordered wings, dressing and yams everything was hot and fresh and it tasted great.
Will be back whenever I am in the area. Thank You all
