Lovely restaurant with a cozy vibe. Really friendly service and food came very quickly. Starters/sides were absolutely out of this world! Spring rolls were moist and packed with flavour, and the sauce used for the satay chicken was incredible.
Main food came quickly and was delicious and flavourful. All this for a very reasonable price, and right in the centre of Marlow.
Am was a lovely and friendly server, so I would definitely come again.

Group of 5 of us went to celebrate our daughters Birthday. She was the only one that had been before. The food was amazing! Even the prawn crackers were the best we’ve ever tasted. I had the salt and pepper chilli mushrooms to start and the chilli and basil stir fry with slow cooked beef as my main course. We can’t recommend the Giggling Squid highly enough. The staff were great too – so were the cocktails!
Will definitely be coming again soon.
Back again (7th March 2026) to celebrate my Birthday. Party of 8 this time. Food was again amazing! I had the pork dumplings to start followed by the chilli and basil stir fry – all amazing! Staff were also fantastic and they helped make it a special celebration. Big thank you to Dani and the whole team Can’t wait to return again

Loved our meal at Giggling Squid Marlow! The food was delicious and full of flavour, and the staff were all lovely, especially Am, who was friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere and amazing Thai dishes, my boy had the Massaman curry and I had the honey duck and chicken pad thai. Will definitely be back to try more from the menu.

Visited for dinner on Valentine’s Day and, as expected, it was busy with slightly longer wait times. The first half of our meal was perfect – we were seated quickly, our order was taken promptly, and although the starters took a little longer than usual, that was completely understandable given how busy it was.
Our empty starter plates were cleared by someone other than the young man serving us, and I think this may have been where things went wrong, as it seemed the kitchen wasn’t made aware that we were ready for mains. While we were waiting, a very loud table of tipsy ladies was seated directly behind us, which unfortunately disrupted the calm, romantic atmosphere. It felt quite obvious that most tables were couples out for a Valentine’s meal, and it might have been better to seat larger, livelier groups separately. I asked if we could move upstairs, and this was kindly and quickly accommodated in the much quieter upper dining area.
In total, we waited around 50 minutes from our starters being cleared to our mains arriving, including the time spent moving tables. The young lad looking after us was really kind and apologetic throughout, so full credit to him.
When the bill arrived, we noticed that three additional dishes (two mains and a side) had been added by mistake. Given the delays and disruption, I had expected perhaps a small gesture of goodwill or minor discount, so it was disappointing to see extra items added instead.
Overall, the food was great and our waiter was lovely, though clearly under a lot of pressure. It did feel as though the kitchen was overwhelmed, particularly with a constant stream of delivery orders, which perhaps should have been paused to prioritise dine-in guests on such a busy evening.

Had my 50th birthday meal with family at the Giggling Squid and it was a great evening. The food was excellent and our server Amy was fantastic.

This is the GEM of Marlow. Best Thai we have found in few years. Just met Dani the new manager who went above and beyond with such a cheerful welcome, her kindness touched us as it’s rare nowadays to find such nice persons in hospitality. All staff very attentive, food is the best as always. We tried new cocktails tonight suggested by Dani, and guess what! We got some more. Delightful experience. Never a regret coming here!

Sadly, the worst experience I’ve had at Giggling Squid. We arrived for our booked table and were kept waiting half an hour before being seated, stood next to the door, which was constantly in use by delivery drivers. Was immediately very clear we weren’t the only people being kept waiting and that deliveries seemed to be taking precedence over restaurant diners. No apology was given by staff for the wait. Once we were seated, we had a nice enough but inexperienced young waiter who also didn’t apologise or give any explanation for what was happening. We ordered food and waited about 45minutes for anything to arrive without him coming back. We were offered no complimentary drinks or even crackers during this time. The same was happening to several tables around us. When the food did arrive, it was delicious, as always. I felt very sorry for the kitchen staff who were obviously being put under a lot of pressure. Seems to be a management issue – they should have closed the kitchen to take always and prioritised their in-house guests! I will never go to this particular one again.
