Among all the dishes we ordered, the Monagadu Kodi truly stood out. The flavor was outstanding — perfectly spiced, well-cooked, and tasted very authentic. It was easily the highlight of the meal and something I would highly recommend to anyone visiting.
The quality of the food, presentation, and overall taste were excellent. Restaurant GIF definitely deserves a top rating for serving such a memorable dish.
We’ll absolutely be coming back to try it again!
We were driving from Nashville to the Smoky Mountains and decided to try GIF Great Indian Food and it truly lived up to its name!
We ordered the tandoori chicken and paneer tikka masala (an Indian cottage cheese dish) both were flavorful, perfectly cooked, and mild enough for our taste. The garlic naan and mango lassi made it even better!
The staff was really kind and helped explain the menu. Cozy, clean place great for first-timers or anyone wanting something different and delicious on the road.
Highly recommend if you’re anywhere near the area!
Humble guys, not-so-loud ambience, & most importantly – very reasonable pricing. I noticed Nashville restaurants charging 15% higher than what I used to pay back in Atlanta, but these guys priced theirs, 15% lesser compared to Atl, prolly what is referred to as “bang for buck” here in the US.
If you are a spice lover, they got you covered. If you are not much of a spice lover, they still got you covered. Try Peshwari Naan for an elite delight (note, it got dates & nuts in it, aren’t you tired of Butter naans yet!?), if you are mutton lover, go for mutton roast Biryani, their mutton is tender and you don’t need to put in a lot of effort to devour the dish. Wrap up your meal with their Apricot Delight. Do not forget to ask for the specials while you are there, they bring to your table regional specials you can only expect to see in India.
Food was awesome. Gulab Jamun were Stuffed Gulab jamun , awazing taste, a must ..
We will definitely be coming for lunch more often. The price can’t be beat either. Had the non-veg Thali and the price is only $12.99.
Tandoori chicken, according to my personal account, is hands down the best, juiciest one in Nashville area. Tone of flavor. Worth a drive.
Lamb saag is our ultimate choice, meat is falling apart, spinach sauce is perfect. Ask for an “Indian spicy” if you really into it, and you gonna get what you ask for.
Place is spotless clean, staff is friendly and caring and will be happy to explain the menu. Food quality is consistently great. Nothing else I can really ask for.
