Great Mom n Pop place! Food was fantastic and had very friendly and accommodating service. Large portions for a great price. Fabulous quick stop for lunch. Cafeteria style but food was hot and fresh. Will definitely be back!

Located in a beautiful old building. Plenty of charm still present. Extremely clean, including the restroom.
I had the turkey and dressing, with corn and greens, my husband had the steak dressing and green beans. Everything was wonderfully seasoned and when I left, my only sorrow was that I was traveling through and wasn’t able to try their chicken fried steak, fried chicken or smothered steak!! Home style cooking served by the sweet owner. Soo good!!

Cafeteria style, deep southern food. The people were lovely and personable. Coming in from the front, you walk to the back where you choose one from several entrées and two sides. Most would call it soul food but it was just what I grew up with. Some of it was spot on, some not as good but I’d be happy to go again.

Great place and friendly staff. Interesting building. Owner works side by side with employees and very open to sharing the history

Food was good! But hospitality sucked and waitress was rude.. she was giving orders to us as if it was her money being paid with. I know every restaurant and waitresses are different, but as a former waitress, I would have not treated customers the way we were treated. I would not recommend..unless it’s a last resort. Also, how much we got charged on the ticket compared to the menu was BS. We got charged an extra $3 for our southern fried steak. Unless they’ve updated prices, but if that is the case, update the menu as well..

This place has to be one of the most under rated eatery’s I’ve ever been to! You can’t get any closer to home cooked southern meals than here . They cook just like my grandmother did. Family owned & operated, great people and mouth watering food! You are feeding your soul when you eat here! Hands down one of the best places I’ve eaten at on this side of Texas. Good luck to y’all!

This was the first time we’ve eaten here. I can’t believe how we missed this restaurant!! Everything we ate was delicious!! Country fried steak, liver and onions, sweet potatoes, mashed taters and gravy and okra casserole. And to top it off – peach cobbler. Home cooking at its best. You can be sure we will be back!!

If you have a big appetite-SKIP this place. Small portions. Instant potatoes, ugh. The rolls were cold. Waitress did try to accommodate, it just took two times to get unsweetened tea. Cashier got mad when I handed her a $100 bill. Oh!!! Before I forget it was buffet, and not all you can eat. Should have known. First sign, noon and got front street parking!!!

This is hometown cooking at its best! Had meatloaf, green beans, cabbage, and german chocolate cake for dessert. It was all delicious! Lovely waitress who provided excellent service. I highly recommend it.
