Claims to be the “best burgers in town” and does not disappoint. The 5150 is their special burger with bacon mixed into the Patty and is really quite exceptional.
The place is nice and small, but with plenty of parking and a wonderful, friendly staff. I would recommend this place to anyone passing through Giddings.

This place is awesome! Perfect little spot to stop and grab a bite to eat when we drive from Austin to Houston. We got wings and the 5150 burger. Both were absolutely delicious! Prices were very good. The service and hospitality just made our visit that much more enjoyable. This is now a must each time we are passing through Giddings!

So glad to find them again after their move! Even tho I kinda miss the atmosphere of the old place, the burgers are still the abolutely best I’ve had since living in Texas (27 years). Big, fresh & juicy. Fresh veggies. Cooked to perfection. Can’t give them enough stars and that’s not even considering the service & great owners. A definite hidden gem.

When I stopped in one Sat I ordered a cheese burger and started eating meat was very very raw inside so I asked if I could get a well done burger the woman behind the counter threw such a fit it was very uncalled for the burgers are great but make sure you order it well done last time that was the first and the last time I spent my money at this place

A true “hole in the wall restaurant.” You wouldn’t expect it to have some of the best burgers and fries in the area, but it surpasses all those fast food chains such as five guys and in n out. The portions are large and extremely tasty. Once you take the first bite you cannot stop yourself from finishing the food. The fries and burgers compliment eachother in such a perfect way that you know that they spent years perfecting it. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries with a drink. They give you unlimited refills btw. They cook the meat well done too. If you don’t like it well done just ask for it in another way or something. Bottom line the food is great, the atmosphere ensures it’s place as a local staple, and the service is great. Definitely stop here in a road trip because I know I will.

Great place to eat!!! The staff catered to us greatly, for example she suggested that we get one family fries instead of us doing 3 orders ( to help save money ), turned on a movie for my 2 1/2 year old daughter to keep her occupied, and even gave our daughter icecream for dessert! And when I went to pay the tab I gave her a tip and she wasn’t even expecting one!! Thanks for everything, and keep up the fantastic service!!!

seriously good burgers. they don’t skimp on toppings and the patty was fresh made and huge – couldn’t finish it. home cut fries were awesome. really impressed. regret not stopping here sooner – don’t know how many times I’ve driven right by it.

This is a little shack of a place on Hwy 290 on the West side of town. If it weren’t for the two police cars parked on the side, we would have missed it. Sometimes the po-po know the good places and sometimes not, but in this case their recommendation was a great one. The menu here is simple … burgers and wings, plus a few sides. The burgers are fat and fresh. They taste great and have just the right amount of stuff on top, pickles and lettuce and mustard and so forth. They’re not all smothered with things to hide the meat. Next time you are on your way from Austin to Houston, this place is a good reason to stop in GIddings. And, by the way, watch your speed. It’s 35mph through town and the cops we met getting their burgers, we saw later running speed traps.
