Stopped in for lunch at a very nice cozy atmosphere, very warm and inviting. Owners are really nice and so was the staff. Good food for everyone. Got the bacon cheese burger, my kid got soup and salad and my husband another bacon cheese burger. Delicious , highly recommend if your ever in Lafayette, TN.

The food was good, we had a BLT and a chicken sandwich, both prepared well. The pasta side was tasty and the fries (pan fries) are cooked and pan fried chunked potatoes. The Elvis cheesecake was also tasty. What really stood out was the ambiance. It’s an adorable cafe with vintage posters and decor.

Was in town for a meeting and decided to stop here for lunch. Nothing really spectacular about this place except for the rumor about their carrot cake, which I wasn’t able to try.

Pros:
1. Service was quick and friendly.
2. Food was hot.

Cons:
1. I didn’t like the way it smelled in here.
2. The Reuben and pasta salad lacked flavor.
3. Although quick and friendly, server didn’t listen to what I wanted (sub pasta salad for chips).
4. Food was pricey for what was received.

Overall, I would stop by again to grab a slice or two of the carrot cake.

I’ve known about this place since it opened, but for reasons unknown to even me, I had my first visit this week.
Funky little joint with a welcoming staff, the food is an incredible bargain.
Parking is “on the square” in Lafayette TN and is easily accessible.
Don’t wait – certainly not as long as I did- and visit Gibson’s Cafe today!

I was in line at a typical FF place and I wanted some fresh and hand made. I searched food and found this cafe. I walked in and the places was loaded with patrons. So I ordered to go. The proprietor was very polite and service oriented. Everyone seem to be having a great time and the people I spoke with raved about the home cooked made food. I ordered the Philly on the recommendation of two patrons and the owner. It didn’t miss. I especially enjoyed the toasted buttered bread. I would eat here again. Oh and they taped the container so the food would spill.
Awesome!

Ordered turkey club and hamburger vegetables soup. No substitute for chips. Sandwich & soup were good. Pricey for Sandwich. Next time will try out the dessert.

We came in based on reviews. The food is ok if you are starving and don’t have any type of discriminating palette. My son got the smash burger which was WAY over cooked. Should have known it was a problem when the server didn’t ask how he wants it cooked. I had the tuna melt but it was cold. Basically tuna salad with a slice of sorta melted cheese. Whatever oil they used to brown the bread left my gut hurting the rest of the day. And I thought they would have homemade chips and not just a bag of Lays. Atmosphere was ok and interesting to look at the stuff on the walls. Just don’t expect much if you come here. Also not sure why it shows 5 stars. Should be just one star for food. Two stars for service and three for atmosphere.

Great little sandwich restaurant! The place has a 70s music vibe, with lots of photos, etc. of old rock bands and posters. Best chicken salad sandwich I’ve ever had (I’m not a big fan of chicken salad but I love this one). I like it with bacon on a croissant. Everything I’ve had is great and the desserts are great too! If you’re in Lafayette, it’s definitely worth a try.
