This place is such a gem. The food tastes super fresh and authentic — the momos and chow mein are unbeatable. The bar has a chill vibe, and the attached grocery store has all the Nepali and South Asian items you never find anywhere else. The staff is warm, friendly, and make you feel like family. Definitely one of my favorite places in the area!

We been here 1 year ago and food was bad. This time we saw different items in the menu which attracted us to visit this place. I have never eaten such tasteless and disgusting food in my life. This time it was even more worst. We order above $20 food and let me tell you not single food was good. MOMO was worst!! What kind of filling were inside,i am still not sure didn’t tasted like chicken MOMO at all. Chatpate was extremely spicy. Aloo chop tasted as if it was made from 1 week ago. Music was so loud almost went deaf. Wasted our money and time as we came there driving 1 hour.

The man working behind the counter was rude to me, ignored me and after providing my ID as asked, he still refused service to me. I’m visiting my sister from NJ and we decided to stop by this location because it’s close to her house. My sister purchased lottery tickets and a drink. I wanted to order as well and the man behind the counter asked for my ID which I forgot to bring. I went to her house within walking distance and got my ID. Once I returned, the male employee was eating at the counter ignoring me. I had my ID in hand and waited to provide it to him a few minutes later. I was patient and I was respectful. After handing him my ID, he holds it up and inspects as if he can not see my date or birth and still refused service. I asked why and in an aggressive tone he said he is not serving me and again I asked why and he simply said I don’t know. It upset my sister because she watched others being served and even another customer spoke up on my behalf. His behavior was bizarre to say to least and he had no valid reason for not serving me. Stay away from this place. There are plenty of other establishments in Scranton that respectfully provide service.

Dining at the restaurant felt like I was at home. The food was very delicious and authentic, as a Nepali there aren’t a lot of authentic places like this anymore. As soon as I walked into the restaurant I saw a bunch of Nepali people, who made it feel like I was at home. There was also a mix of other cultures, to which I think that they liked the food as well. The ambiance was also very pleasant. The owners and the workers there were also very friendly and attentive.

Don’t waste your time or money here. I was asked to show my ID but after doing so, one of the male employees began to serve other patrons. He ignored me until my friend spoke up, he continued his rude and inexcusable behavior. He then proceeded to say call the cops despite blocking the deeivs

The store is amazing and the staff are very nice! The food is also always fresh. They have a variety of items ranging from South to East Asia. If you want a diverse palate without wasting your time going to different stores you will be very content at the Ghalley Family Food Mart!
