I went here on a Sunday afternoon. The wait was long as hell. About an hour and 10 minutes of standing in line because it is a small business the line is usually out the door. The service was great!!! Very kind and God fearing people! I ordered smothered turkey chops sweet potatoes, seafood mac n cheese. And the chops were on top of garlic mashed potatoes. The plate came with a nice portion of food. I also ordered the kool aid and honey buttered cornbread.
Everything was delicious!!! Absolutely hot fresh and flavorful. The mac n cheese and nice sized shrimp and a good amount of crab meat in it but definitely cheesy and good! The cornbread was moist and sweet just as I like it. The turkey chops i had the gravy on side instead of on top because I wanted to try a different sauce but i forgot to go back and get my sauce so the only thing i would do differently is get the gravy on top because that was very good too. I spent a total of $38 for everything and it took another 30-40 minutes after i ordered to get my food. My only complaint is the wait time but it was so good i would definitely recommend and return.

This place is amazing! It was my first time visiting, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. I saw all the great reviews on TikTok and had to come see for myself—and I’m so glad I did.
I ordered the jerk chicken tips, seafood platter, cornbread, and a peach lemonade. The portions were huge—I ended up with four containers of food! Everything was seasoned perfectly, and the flavors truly showed how much love and care they put into their cooking.
The prices? A solid 10/10—definitely worth every penny. Now, if you’re like me and order a little bit of everything, there might be a bit of a wait, but trust me, it’s worth it. When they say “soul food,” they really mean it. I’ll absolutely be back!

A group of us traveled from out of town to this establishment and we were excited about trying the food. We heard great things about the food, but we were thrown off by the person taking our orders. The gentleman was very snarky in his demeanor. There is another saying I would like to use, but for this review, I will refrain from that language. Although there was a group of us, the gentleman immediately interrupted one of my friends as she was about to place her order. In his sassiness, he made a comment to the fact of “I don’t need a bunch of phone numbers and one payment is acceptable.” We were confused by his statement! The gentleman was under the assumption that since we all came together, our order was one big order. One of our friends had to tell him, “just because we walked in together, don’t assume it’s one order!” My friend further explained that everyone would be placing their own separate order. The gentleman’s initial attitude had us all saying that we would not return. Another friend inquired about desserts and his response was something to the fact “we make enough money on the food!” Well, okay, sir!
Lastly, we all agreed the food was good! Customer service could’ve been better. In addition, if you’re charging me for cornbread, include it in my order. I should not have to check my order. Get it right the first time with all the attitude we received! Please get signage so that people know if they’re supporting the correct business!

BABBBYYYYYYYY I finally was able to get over there to GGC to get some great awesome food & When I tell you they did not disappoint I was the first one in line to place my order, I had a pretty big order & OMG the plates are already big and I went big big back . EVERYTHING so good I had to take a nap .love the atmosphere The customer service is what I love most .one of the owners is very attentive and humble ,he is the same in person as he is on Tik Tok my family loved loved everything no complaints at all. This was my 1 at time at GGC Eatery & I WILL be back again. It was WELL WORTH THE WAIT. I was very pleased with my Crispy Catfish Bowl. The way the Catfish was cooked, was like how I do mine. Crispy on the outside of so tender on the inside. There was only one thing that I will ask for next time and that’s to have my sweet potatoes put in a container by themself. The juices from them got into my greens. But reading everything on a scale of 0 – 10, I’d give it a 10+++. Can’t wait for next time.

The gentleman at the counter was super personable and based on the comments of other customers that’s the standard and not something reserved for 1st time customers… which we were.
The beef short ribs were tender and delicious. I wasn’t crazy about the mashed potatoes… I’m a potato snob… lol The portion sizes, flavor and customer service made it worth the price. We’ll ABSOLUTELY return.
