We recently visited German Doner Kebab and had a really good experience overall. We ordered the Doner Burger with beef and The Original Doner Kebab with mixed protein (chicken & beef), and both were absolutely delicious.

The Doner Burger was very satisfying—the bun was soft and fresh, with a generous amount of meat and well-balanced veggies. It didn’t feel dry at all, and every bite was flavorful. The Original Doner Kebab was just as impressive. The bread was perfectly done—crispy and crunchy on the outside while remaining soft inside. The mix of chicken and beef worked really well together, and the flavors were rich without being overwhelming.

We also tried the flaming hot fries, which were tasty and had a nice kick of spice. They paired well with the main dishes and were served hot and fresh.

The place gets quite busy on weekends. We had to wait around 30 minutes to place our order, which is something to keep in mind if you’re visiting during peak hours. However, once the order was placed, the service was very fast, and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. Despite the crowd, we were still able to find seating, which was a plus.

Overall, the taste of the food was excellent, portions were satisfying, and the quality was consistent. If you don’t mind a bit of a wait during busy times, this is definitely a great spot for a flavorful and filling meal. Highly recommended for doner lovers!

I lived 30 years in germany and a good Döner is one of the few things I miss. I haven’t found an authentic experience yet. I had the OG and cheese fries.
I would give it 4 out of 5 american stars.
In germany this would be a 3 of 5 at best.
The bread is nice and crispy. The fries were surprisingly decent with good options. The toppings are usually discussed when you order, not after you paid and then have to pay again for toppings 1$ each. There are at least 3 reasons why that’s bad business. It tasted offensively neutral at first, until I reached the bottom where the one blop of sauce was hidden. The sauce was good but it was not spread inside the bread like in premium Döner places. Usually a Döner is very flavourful, with spices, sauce, onions and peppers. This felt like a save bet to not offend the white seasoning people. The unevenness makes it a less homogeneous experience and feels rushed. Speaking of rushed, the meat felt very hastily put together, no crispness at all. If you could Introduce one german drink, that would elevate the experience a bit. Like Apfelschorle or Mezzomix.
Thumps pressed that it gets improved, this was overall one of the better Döners I had in the US.

my boyfriend and i love this place! we come here often and the staff is always exceptional, especially the cashier (the boy with the dark hair) and the managers (both guy and girl). on our most recent visit there was an extremely nasty customer who was being rude and just outright disrespectful and i was happy to see how management handled the situation with grace and professionalism. (although i cannot say i would’ve done the same given the nature of the customer and his disgusting attitude). anyways we LOVE this place and couldn’t recommend enough!

The food was great! It was black friday and a little busy but they did their best to serve good quality food made at the spot.

Overall very nice clean place, plenty of seats in and outside the restaurant. Food is good but has still ways to go compared to the real German Doner Kebab that you would eat in Europe. Service was a but slow even with not a crazy amount of people inside. Workers are nice and helpful just a bit chaotic. Overall definitely worth a try when you’re in the mall.

Absolutely delicious The doner was fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor, with perfectly cooked meat and a great balance of veggies and sauce. Portions are solid and everything tasted clean and well-seasoned.

The original kebab was great. However, had to wait 30 minutes for just an original doner kebab. The service was super slow, line moved slow, wait time was long. There was an unprofessional and rude associate who don’t respond and nearly threw my stuff away without asking. Don’t think they care customer. Would not recommend if you want better customer service.

Wanted to see the American Dream Mall, didn’t realize that you cannot shop clothes and home goods on NFL Sundays in Bergen County, NJ due to their Blue Law.
Anyways, found German Doner Kebab by accident and of course had to try it. Couldn’t get the rice bowl (Döner Teller), as it only came with rice and fries as an add on, but not just fries. So, we had a Döner Box instead with mixed meat (chicken and beef), salad and fries. It was okay. Didn’t like the amount of sauce provided, would have preferred the sauce on my fries and meat (in my case only the yogurt sauce). Felt that the beef was a tad over flavored. But it was nice to try.
First photo is as the Doner box was received, second photo mid eating and with sauce mixed in.

Portion size small for the price. Beef is ground, which is considered low/bad quality doner in Germany. This would pass in Berlin or Frankfurt for 3 EUR not $14.

Had to correct rating. Meat was cold
