The best in West! My family has been stopping here for decades as we past through West, avoid the dry tourist kolaches off the highway. The service is always friendly and quick too. My favorites are the strawberry cream cheese and the ground sausage with cheese & jalapeño. Check out the day old offerings if you need a tasty bargain.

Great spot for a sit down meal if you’re in the area. We drop in if we’re having a leisurely travel day; also great place to pick up sweet and savory pastries. Food is awesome and staff have always been super friendly.

Gerik’s bakery is absolutely fantastic. The cinnamon rolls are as big as your head and absolutely delicious with LOTS of icing.

The ham and cheese roll was delicious- make sure you heat it up!

The place was so clean and well kept.

Highly recommend

Definitely need a second visit. We ended up going to the top rated kolache places while visiting West. This place definitely deserved a visit as everything we tasted was quite delicious. Their kolaches were great. The staff were friendly and service was fast. Their prices were good especially considering how everything tasted.

After visiting West, we decided to try Gerik’s for kolaches. They were outstanding, and the service was great! I was also tempted to try a cinnamon roll which were HUGE and had a variety of flavors, but I was too full. Next time for sure!

Wow! What a hidden gem!! I was out here in West Texas for a work trip and my friend chose this restaurant so we could eat dinner and pick up some breakfast items. Unfortunately we didn’t get to try their pizza BUT our food was great nonetheless! She got a chicken fried steak and I got a burger and fries. Although it’s pretty hard to mess up a burger, I could tell it was made fresh and full of great flavor! Food was affordable and our server was kind and attentive. Afterwards we grabbed some pastries and WOW were they cheap for how big and delicious they are (very sweet but I’m not complaining). I wish I could’ve brought home the GIANT cinnamon rolls they had but they had SO many great options I had to resist lol. But I’m looking forward to visiting this place again if I’m ever out here anytime soon! PLEASE go and give this place a try it genuinely surprised me!

We were driving up to Dallas and we always end up stopping at all the places around here that sell kolaches and my wife said you’ve never stopped over at Gerik’s.

Well today was the day. It actually missed it and had to take the turnaround which was only 4 minutes so it wasn’t too bad.

We stopped and got out and once you walked inside wasn’t very busy but was afternoon probably around 1230.

Once inside, you’re met with a beautiful aesthetic of lights, bars and pastries.

There was a lot more seating than I was expecting to see where I thought there would be more items for sale on the floor, but there was tons of stuff.

So much stuff. In fact that there was an extra room with some arcade units and coin operated the toy machines. Though it looks like overflow for orders are left here for pickup.

Everything was bigger than the biggest thing sold at another store.

If you look at the pictures I mean the cinnamon roll was huge. The sausage jalapeno and cheese were huge. The poppy seed kolaches were huge.

I must admit I was a little overwhelmed with all the selections but I was happy with what I picked two ham and cheeses which were like $2.25 a piece and with the cinnamon roll and everything we bought like seven items we were out of there for under 20 bucks.

Worth the stuff. Worth the look. I’d give it five stars in atmosphere if there was more things turned on to utilize that we’re in the store like the arcade and stuff like that.

Stopped in for an early dinner and was highly impressed. The food is reasonably priced and they feed you a lot. You get more than your monies worth. The food has great flavor and one is big enough to share. The bakery has lots to choose from and is delicious.

Swung by to get authentic Czech Texas Kolaches and got the Apricot w/ Cream Cheese and a Sausage Link “Kolache.”
They were tasty, with soft bread dough. They do crumble a bit of sugar on the sweet Kolaches, so some folk might find it a bit too sweet.
The portions were Texas-sized, and they had cinnamon rolls bigger than my fist. They also had a really good deal on yesterday’s kolaches at about $5 a box.
The place had some interesting old decorations with classic arcade machines, some buck heads and a bobcat on the walls and a few Santa mannequins laying around, but we were just there to get stuff to go.
