Met family here on a Saturday evening, was pleased they still had a few tables available. I had ‘George’s Patty Melt’ and my wife ordered the ‘Lemon Chicken.’ The Patty Melt with chip was very tasty, it hit the spot! The Lemon Chicken was plentiful, but could use more flavor. The waitress was wonderful, no rushing, even on a Saturday at dinner time, and very attentive. Will visit here again.

This restaurant was a total surprise! The food is delicious and the portions are huge! I mean one small calzone could be enough for two hungry people. The atmosphere is very homey and welcoming, the server was kind and friendly. We had a great time.

I’ve been here twice. The first time was amazing that I came back within a week or two with my family. Atmosphere is great and very clean. The staff and owner are always friendly. I drive 40 minutes to come here, trust and believe me when I say it is worth coming too. Food is always hot and fresh, it’s like you’re eating a home cooked meal.

I’ve had the pastas, crab dip, wings, load fries, hamburger steak, desserts, drinks and more!!!

Our party of four arrived around 1:00 p.m. on a Sunday and were seated immediately, even with the restaurant buzzing from the after-church crowd. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure everything we needed was taken care of. The food arrived quickly and exactly as ordered. Our table enjoyed a burger, meatball sub, Reuben, and a calf’s liver entrée—all served hot and delicious. The portions were very generous, and we all had leftovers to take home. We’re definitely looking forward to coming back.

They have a loud, banging kitchen door that could probably be easily fixed, but otherwise, the food is fantastic, the staff is great, the portions are huge – usually enough for more than one person – and the atmosphere is very cool. It’s an old historical building, so you can’t really beat that for a vibe. They have craft beers on tap and everything is very reasonably priced. We’ll drive 25 minutes to get there because we like it that much. Highly recommended.

Clam chowder is the best i have had since old Town Alexandria va.
Must have a great chief.
Had crabcakes (spicy), fried mushrooms (excellent), calamari, crab dip (a little spicy), liver and onions (very tasty) and fried shrimp (outstanding).
Waitresses (kelsi), very attentive and helpful with ordering. Excellent and very friendly attitude. I would come back for her service.

Tried calling a Togo order in. Called for almost 30 mins with nothing but a busy signal. Finally drove to restaurant to place the order. I get here girl is standing behind the desk rolling Silverware. I said ive been calling for 30 mins and line stays busy. She mumbled under her breath and took my order. Not very friendly. I pulled my phone out and called the store right in front of her and it went busy signal. I showed her it was busy. Nobody was on the phones and they weren’t ringing. She pulls the cordless phone from her pocket and turns it off. So it was literally on in her pocket. Multiple people came in to place an order after me cuz phone was on. After she turned the phone it started ringing like its supposed to. Not a im sorry I dont know how that happened or anything. If this girl can’t have more of a personality, or always has an attitude She definitely doesn’t need to be up front dealing with customers.

Our first time at George’s in Warrenton NC, we had been to the one in Henderson so we tried this one. Extremely busy when we walked in but the waitress advised us it would be at least a half hour before we would get served, we asked to sit at the bar and she was very informative and attentive, we are never in a hurry when we go out and before we knew it our drinks were served and our order taken. The food came out in good time and like I said our waitress was very good. The food was very good, I had the crab cakes, they seemed a little flat, perhaps squished down in the griddle, not sure but they were good. My wife had the ribeye steak and said it was also good. Parking is either on the street or in a small parking lot to the front of the building. Even though they were extremely busy we had no problem parking. Inside is nice, good color scheme, nice bar and a pleasant place to relax while eating. Give it a try, I will go back.
