Atmosphere and Service: 6.3/10 – The building has an old, almost run-down feel that adds a unique character to the dining experience. The brick interior is especially cool and offsets the smaller dine-in and outdoor areas. The restaurant appears clean despite its aged appearance, and the staff is friendly and hardworking. Food arrived hot and fresh, showing a dedication to quality.
NY Cheese Pizza: 6.2/10 – A very good pizza with decent quality and a fair price. The taste was satisfying and closely aligned with a New York-style pizza. While the crust had a nice crispness, the undercarriage was a bit too soft, which slightly detracted from the overall experience.
Mozzarella Sticks: 4.4/10 – Freshly made with good-quality cheese, but the breading had a slight off taste that made them less enjoyable. This dish fell short of expectations.
Steak and Cheese: 6.9/10 – A very good sandwich with perfectly cooked, high-quality ingredients. The bread was toasted to perfection and complemented the filling well. It was priced fairly, but the meat-to-bread ratio could have been better balanced to make the sandwich even more satisfying.
The atmosphere felt different from previous visits, and the staff appeared inexperienced. When we asked questions about the menu, we weren’t able to get clear answers. Additionally, our waitress spent time on her phone, and our pizza sat at the window for a while before being served.
This place used to be special for my wife and me as part of our date nights, so this experience was especially disappointing. I truly hope things improve, as we’ve enjoyed this restaurant in the past.
Definitely recommend.
Lobster Ravioli and chicken parm were amazing!

This is the sort of local business you picture when you think of downtown–the pizza is delish, the space is tight, and the pace is a little slow because they keep getting hammered with requests, even after 1.30 in the afternoon. We’re going to call that relaxed — which is what you should be when you’re hanging around old downtown. It’s a reminder to slow down, enjoy a truly mom and pop place.
The reason I am disappointed it’s because I ordered way ahead of time (1 1/2 hours earlier) and when I got there I still had to wait 15 more minutes. Why do I have to wait when I ordered way ahead of time and the expected time for order was 50 minutes? And this is not the first time the shop has made me wait a while for my order.
If they improve that aspect and provide the food at the time they are stating they have a loyal customer because the pizza was great.
