This is truly one of Indianapolis’s best kept secrets. George’s Neighborhood Bar is the spot. I had the opportunity to experience their famous hand cut tenderloin sandwich and it was off the hook. Complete with fries and coleslaw I demolished that poor sandwich.
The restaurant has a good atmosphere. If you have ever experienced George’s- it is a definite must. Our server was Miranda and she was excellent.

This place has gone down hill drastically. I ordered the cob salad like I’ve done in the past and when I got my food it was less than desired. The salad is usually full but as you can see in the picture I had a small amount of bacon and a smaller amount of ham. I paid extra for salmon and look at how small this piece is. It was not a full helping of anything. The reason there are two dressing is because I was under the impression I would get what I’ve gotten in the past. Clearly that isn’t the case here. They didn’t give me the roll I paid for and then they had the audacity to not be prepared. I waited in my car like instructed, then I went in and had to flag down the bartender to get someone. Horrible experience and I wont be back. Take your money elsewhere. Service was unacceptable and the portions were even worse. You can’t raise the price and then give us portions like this. $26 for this?? Unacceptable

If my wife and I could give George’s 10 stars, we would. The hostess was wonderful. Our server, Matt, was warm, friendly, funny, and very attentive. As a friend of the co-owner and Executive Chef, Chuck Vinice who joined us for the meal. The food was outstanding in every way. The chefs Chuck has working when he isn’t there, are top shelf chefs. They give you the exact same quality of food. The atmosphere was amazing! If you have never been to George’s Neighborhood Grill, I advise you to visit the best kept secret in Indianapolis. It’s located at 6935 Lake Plaza Drive, Suite B12. Look for the lighted black awning and you’re there. I hope your dining experience will be as great as ours!

Yall!! This wrap was full of meat and goodness!! Look at the “side” salad, it’s more like a “3 day salad” it was so huge! I was definitely satisfied and the service was excellent. Went back yesterday 2/17/23 and ordered ribs and the shrimp appetizers and rib was falling off of the bone!! I don’t usually eat coleslaw but it was good. Food presentation was excellent and so was the service. Food came out in good time so if you wanna stop by for lunch you won’t be late getting back. I enjoyed the mac and cheese too

We at at George’s last night. I had the Monday night special bacon wrapped filet. It was absolutely wonderful. Came with mashed potatoes and green beans. My wife loves the Fish and Chips. We use George’s for take out at least once a week. Never disappointed.

George’s Neighborhood Grill was pretty good; especially for my first time! Our coworker Ashlyn was amazing as well and she was very timely in her customer service & knowledgeable of the menu! We were greeted when we arrived and didn’t have to wait long at all to be seated! The food took about 20 minutes to come out and was quite tasty!
We purchased:
-Shrimp & Lobster Ravioli
-Chicken Tenders w/ Fries
-Potato Wedges
-One of the Specialty Salads
The Shrimp & Lobster Ravioli was PHENOMENAL, and I wish the serving size was more, but unfortunately it was not. It did come with a salad & a roll! Definitely a 10 out of 10 meal!
Overall, our time there was a 5 Star, but the only Con would have to be with the waiters. There were a pair of coworkers who were leaving the catered party on the enclosed side of the restaurant, who after leaving that area, belched extremely loud as if they were not in a professional establishment around customers. There was also a young male waiter who appeared to be untrained as he reached over my other family member’s plates to serve food as it would have been more effective for him to walk over to the specific person and place the plate on the table.
Overall, I would DEFINITELY come again as the food was Amazing!
