An institution here in Riverside for decades, the same Family has owned and operated it since 1974. Delicious homemade food. Great breakfast burritos served all day and night, amazing fried mushrooms and zucchini with a side of their homemade buttermilk dip, great fried fish sandwich, big grinders, also gotta try the “Pochito” chili dog burrito, their banana splits and ice cream sundaes hit the spot, and their churros are large and awesome too! They have fixed their iconic neon sign which makes for great photo ops!

I love this place but unfortunately today I guess I bumped into the owner. I ordered a burger that had curly fries. I went up to the window told them the situation. and they were going to work up a fresh batch ,but I did not want to wait well I decided to go back to get a ranch and I guess the owner made it such a big deal for me to switch out that mistake that they made for a ranch. that team is an amazing team but the owner is something else. Long story short, I had to pay for the ranch. the owner also told me that the customer is not always right

Out in Riverside and saw this old looking diner. I am a sucker for Americana culture and little spots like this. The service was good enough, not overly friendly, in a hurry but efficient. I ordered the Pastrami on Rye, and MAN, it was on point! Just the right mix of pickle, mustard and meat, exactly what I imagine when I think of this dish. My girlfriend got the Swiss Burger and it was pretty darn good too, the bacon had that homemade cooked just right taste. The vanilla shake had real ice cream and was super THICK, I think I blew a vacuum seal fighting to get a taste through the straw. However my girlfriend had no problem with the extraction process……Yay for Me! The decor looks original albeit a little run down but there is seating inside and out on the patio. I would definitely recommend it for a quick bite but not a first date. ENJOY!

First time visiting in over 10 years. It was just as good as I remember, if not better. The chili has a very slight kick that makes it the best I’ve had in a long time. The burger has that classic char grilled taste. Love the shredded lettuce and how it makes sure every bite has a consistent taste.
The customer service was great. The food came out fast, and the portion sizes were bigger than I was expecting. Cheeseburger, chili fries and drink for less than $20. Great deal. Wish I lived closer

The “manager” (older gentleman) was rude when I had called back to explain I was missing a burger, then the fries were over cooked, both the onion rings and zucchini were frost bitten tasting. I explained that, he had an attitude about me wanting a refund for the missing item and nasty zucchini and onion rings. This isn’t the first time I have had an attitude about the way their food came out. I spend almost $53 for what I thought was going to be good food but was wrong. There was no apology or any type of correct customer service from this “manager”. There was even an issue when I tried calling in the first time.I won’t be wasting time or money on an establishment that continues to employ managers of this sort. If could leave no stars or negative stars I would.

I have to say, I was highly disappointed with my experience at George’s Drive In. Let me start by saying that this place was recommended to us by a coworker, so we had high hopes. However, the food fell far short of our expectations.
The menu at George’s Drive In is extensive, which is usually a good sign. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and we appreciated the option of indoor and outdoor seating. However, the food itself was lackluster.
We ordered the burger special, chicken fingers, onion rings, regular fries, and curly fries. Unfortunately, it seemed like nothing was seasoned at all. The fries tasted like they were straight out of a frozen bag, and the lack of seasoning made them even more disappointing. The burger was just okay, with a measly slice of pickle and tomato and an overwhelming amount of lettuce.
When my son asked if we would come back, my answer was a resounding no. I would only consider returning if every other burger joint in the area was closed. It’s a shame, because I really wanted to like George’s Drive In, but the lack of flavor and quality in the food left a bad taste in my mouth

We came here because we had heard they had the best breakfast burritos. This place has been here for a while, and it is an older establishment but they are still here for a reason. The breakfast burritos are so good and big. I got the pastrami breakfast burrito and my husband got the chorizo breakfast burrito. They come with hasbrowns, eggs and cheese. Lots of cheese . We learned that you can get their breakfast burritos any time but their actual breakfast stops being served at 11am.
Great place. We will be back to try the burgers next.

I ordered pastrami, burgers, chicken strips, chili cheese fries and 2 drinks and was quite disappointed on almost all items. The pastrami was not made to order and portions were VERY small. I asked the young lady taking my order if my pastrami would include certain items and she reassured me that it would not, but clearly the cook was not on the same page, because it had exactly what I didn’t want in it. The chicken strips were perfect. The French fries were good with the exception of finding a large number of fried zucchini in all 4 bathces ordered. The junior cheeseburger patty was extremely flat and was practically not there. There was more bun than there was burger, which was horrible. The chili cheese fries were a great disappointment as I grew up loving this dish at these type of establishments. The chili was far too tomatoey. I need and am used to a pasty chili for chili cheese fries, and the portion of chili and cheese was ridiculous low compared to the amount of french fries included. The drinks were good as far as flavor however, the ice was extremely skimpy and practically melted before we sat to the table to eat. Our condiments were not included with our order. I had to go back to the window several times to request things like utensils, dipping condiments, ketchup, etc.The wait time was decent considering it’s such a busy establishment. The outside eating area was appealing. The indoor seating area was VERY run down and dirty. The parking lot was full of litter, there was a stray dog roaming and a male urinating (in plain sight) at the dumpsters, because there is no public restroom. I spent $90 and was very dissatisfied. I felt like it should have been half that amount for what I got in return.

/very dissapointed. I drove a long way to get this Pastrami Sandwich because of the reivews – The meat was dry and the bread was stale and very dry. The cost for a combo was 20 dollars and I was really hoping this would be amazing but I would not come back. The fries were soggy and did not have any seasoning.
