SHOUTOUT TO THE QUEEN OF THE KITCHEN, MS. ANGIE!!! Her cooking is OUTSTANDING, NEXT-LEVEL, PURE COMFORT MAGIC. She absolutely KNOWS HER CRAFT and serves nothing but QUALITY, with kindness, professionalism, and a heart you can feel in every bite.
EVERY TIME we eat here, it’s like the SUN COMES OUT ☀️ ️ and the entire day is instantly better. The food, the vibes, the warmth—UNMATCHED. We are OFFICIALLY FOREVER CUSTOMERS because this place has SOUL and Ms. Angie is a HUGE reason why.

A very small dive diner, great food at affordable prices. Wonderful service, this place is from 1930s. And by the design of it it definitely fits. The food and service are wonderful. Cooking is just great. And fast. I’m giving you five stars because I really have a soft spot for diners like this. Where the food is good, fast, and affordable. There are some downsides to this diner. Things that they can definitely change to improve the experience. So they have sodas, available. But they only come in a can. You have to buy each individual can. Some might really appreciate that, but not having free refills for that it’s kind of a bummer. What I didn’t expect was the same for coffee. Coffee doesn’t come in a can or anything, but it’s no free refills. Sodas makes sense, the coffee can I threw me off from my experience with every other diner I’ve been to. Another big drawback is the space allocated to sit. This is a at the bar sit down diner. Perfectly fine and fast if you want a quick meal. But inside you’re basically have the choice of sit at the bar, or if you’re lucky that table at the end. they do have some outside seating which I really love. And I would love to use. Unfortunately during their hours of operation which is very limited from the mornings to the afternoon. You’re going to be sitting in the sun. There’s no shade no umbrellas, it’d be nice to have an awning over the top of the entire section. I’m honestly kind of surprised they haven’t put a structure there for people to sit. Enjoy the open air. Good food and have some relief from the Sun. Or to be honest they could even expand and enclose that entire section in with the restaurant would be very nice. Just so you’re not armed with anybody at the bar. There is definitely enough parking, so that’s a good thing. And they have their own parking lot, so no need to park on the roadway and walk in. Overall a wonderful little diner. Definitely good food, and service.

Happened to be in the area and wanted to try an interesting new place, George’s delivered. Looked sketchy on the outside, inside a blast from the past. Great vibe, everyone was enjoying themselves and so friendly. Window advertised the best burger in St Louis, it was one of the best I’ve had here. Would definitely stop here anytime I’m in the area.

We had a wonderful breakfast here. It is a down home classic diner. You have to be a bit patient as one person can only do so much at once. But it was very delicious and cozy. I never had a Slinger Plate but I would suggest adding onions and shredded cheese. The French Toast is kind of small so if you usually get two and IHOP then you should order three here.

This place is exactly as described. Very old and very small building with two two-top tables and a bar. We got lunch here for the first time yesterday. I don’t know if it was the nostalgia, the good food, or the friendly atmosphere, but it’s one of the better diner experiences I’ve had. The German fried potatoes were perfect and I highly recommend the pecan pie. I don’t remember the server/ cook’s name but however much she’s getting paid, it isn’t enough. I’ll definitely be going back the next time I’m in the area.

What I enjoy most about George’s Diner is the great conversation / camaraderie with fellow patrons and employees. For example, on our last visit we had the pleasure of chatting with Charlie, a 98 year old WWII vet that first visited the diner on Sept. 1, 1939, the day he registered for high school. A fixture at George’s, you can usually find Charlie in his corner seat enjoying the diner fare twice a day. It’s always a pleasure chatting with the folks at George’s. As for the food . . . delicious. In fact, my lady says Liz makes the best omelets in town. Service is always great, and the atmosphere is reminiscent of an old school diner. If you are in the Overland area, definitely worth stopping by for great eats and enjoyable, lighthearted conversation.
