We spoke with Sam about hosting our skeptics group for a dinner, and he was amazingly accommodating. We expected about 15 people but only had 9. They had enough seats set up for 15-20 people (I did tell them we wouldn’t need the 2nd table about 1/2 hour after we arrived).
I did not catch our waitresses name (Joanne? Jan?) but she was WONDERFUL. She handled us all with grace, understanding, and good conversation!
The food was hot, delicious, and timely. We will absolutely come back!
My only complaint/comment is that my husband loves poached eggs and hash, but was told they do not do poached eggs.
Thank you George & Sam for carrying on the legacy of Route 58 with additions that only add to the experience.
The food was brought out fast, and wow, we ordered a pastrami on rye and combo w pastrami a corn beef! So good and so much meet! Potatoes salad was also great!
Definitely found a new place to enjoy great Rueben’s!
I am not a breakfast person, so I ordered the disco fries. Right off the bat, they were not hot, just warm. My aunt ordered the lox spread and said it was just OK. My daughter had 1/2 soup 1/2 sandwich (matzoball & corned beef/pastrami). The soup looked really good! I couldn’t try it as she was not feeling well. The sandwich did look good as well, but a little small for the price. Her boyfriend had the BB on Broadway sandwich (not pictured), which he gets every time they go to The Bagel Baker. We also order potato pancakes … they are too thick, resemble a hash brown, and lack flavor.
Service was subpar, but everything came out correct, so that was a plus!
There is breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. ( only open for dinner on the weekend). My child kids meal was legit, she had chicken tenders and it was not Dino-nuggets tossed together, it was a quality made portion of real food.
I happened to meet 2 owners while there, genuine, happy, humble people; this was a breath of fresh air.
It’s unfortunate it’s not more visible on Google Maps, as you really need to zoom in seeking it out, so it may be overlooked when looking for places to eat in the area.
Worth swinging by and checking it out; would love to see this place succeed, I think they said they’ve been open just over a year.
My only critique is I wish they had homemade ranch but that’s just because I’m a ranch snoot.
