George Martin still holds it own. The atmosphere and staff are top shelf. The food is very good, everything so fresh.
A nice place to celebrate a special occasion or just hang with friends and love ones. They have a nice menu too. I wish I was able to give them 4 and half stars! Enjoy!

Everything we had was absolutely delicious! The salmon and branzino were cooked to perfection, the mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful, and even the bread was so good we kept reaching for more. Their tuna carpaccio seared on the outside, and raw on the inside, was the best I’ve ever had! Dessert was the perfect sweet finish. Honestly, everything was excellent from start to finish. My only “complaint” is that I couldn’t resist digging in before taking pictures, so that says it all! Highly recommend.

Just wanted to update first time back since my original review 7 years ago and it is just as amazing if not better! Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly the skirt steak and filet cut like butter and had perfect flavor. The meatballs and wedge salad were outstanding and drinks were great as well and the dessert was to die for! The Key lime pie with the coconut sorbet was incredible! very nice people inside definitely a top steak house!

ive been to this place only a few times over many years but everytime i go the food is great. the service the other night was amazingly good and was not intrusive and better than i remember. my water glass was constantly filled without having to ask and without interrupting our meal and this was the first time i was in the additional room that was added a few years ago, (which is really nice). the cowboy ribeye was great as were the salads, the apps and desserts. thanks

We had our reservation for 8:15 p.m. and didn’t get seated immediately because of prior guests, but it gave us time to look at the menu. I would recommend the strawberry refresher, a good balance of sweet and sour. The braised short rib tacos were delicious and really tender; I could’ve eaten six and called it a night. But the star of the show, the skirt steak with truffle butter, was so mouthwatering. And Monica, our server, took care of us very well. I would definitely recommend this place for a date night or even a chill spot with some foodie friends.

Late July 2025 we hosted a birthday dinner / party for my mom at George Martin The Original (65 North Park Avenue in Rockville Centre). We had about 25 people and were in a private room on the second floor. Everything went smoothly, our two servers were excellent and the price was reasonable. Leading up to the event my contact person was Barbie the catering manager. She made sure to explain all options and spell everything out at our in person meeting and maintained a good line of communication thereafter. This was the second event we’ve had there in four years and we are looking forward to our next.

Last night I had the opportunity to visit George Martin steakhouse Rockville Center New York it was my first visit there I ordered the Caesar salad the Aged ribeye cowboy steak the cream spinach. The cream spinach and the Caesar salad. Both excellent, I cannot say that for the ribeye which they say is 21 days aged. For one it had no flavoring like it was aged and it didn’t even have flavoring as a non-age steak. It was ordered medium well and came medium rare when I sent it back they corrected it only up to the temperature of medium and without a proper sear. In addition when it was served both times it was not hot it was just warm. In comparison to the top steakhouses in this area such as Peter Luger’s Ruth Chris and Capital Grille I would put their steak on par with a local Diner, but much more expensive price. To end this on a positive note the wait service was excellent.

Not so impressed. Had a party of five and they sat us by the front door in a tight booth..it was cold and people were practically leaning on our table because the bar was full. Very annoying.

Our new Favorite place. Visited for the first time during LI restaurant week 11/4/2019. It was not disappointing. The portions size were NORMAL and not reduced like most restaurants do during the restaurant weeks. The food was tasty. Our waitress JenD was wonderfully pleasant. Already planning our next trip.
