I know many people that have eaten at Gentle Grill and have all raved about it. This was my first time dining there. One of my best friends is vegan and was visiting from out of town, so we had to try it! It took a while for us to decide what to get because there were so many options to choose from, and the aroma of all the food smelled heavenly! My friend had the brisket sandwich with a side salad. I had the gyro salad, and we shared the gyro fries. The food was fresh and delicious! The portion sizes were plentiful. The service was excellent and restaurant was clean. I’ll definitely be a returning customer!!

WOW. I had the gyro sandwich, and it was SOO good! The seitan was so flavorful. I ordered it for lunch today, and it was ready in no time. Definitely coming back again.

If you’re a Macho Meat Eating Man, you will like it, Don’t try it! I’m the supportive husband that finds these places and take his wife to see the expression on her face, but won’t try it. I’ve been craving Pastrami all week and guess what I saw on the menu? I ordered one and it was absolutely delicious.I couldn’t not tell it wasn’t meat. It had the right amount of spices and the texture was on point. To make matters worse, Marley bought over a sample of his Animal Style Fries. I can’t wait to trying other items on their menu. Say hello to Marley. He’s really helpful in helping us Macho Men make the transition to healthy eating

I found this place on Happy Cow and decided to make a stop here on my way back to LA from a camping trip in the mountains. I’m so glad I stopped. The food was fantastic. I ordered the gyro bowl, which was basically a salad. I finished every bite – I would buy that peppery seitan by the pound if they sold it in bulk.
I also got a peanut butter brownie. I’ve never had a decent peanut butter cookie since becoming vegan and this brownie hit all the right notes I’ve been missing.
My little one got the kid’s meal with bean burrito and fruit. We asked to omit the cashew cheese. The fruit was melon and grapes. The burrito was made with pinto beans and grilled and delicious
I wish they had more drink options without sugar, preferably a sparkling water would have been perfect. I ended up ordering a lowish sugar probiotic sparkling drink that was good but I really just wanted a Pellegrino or Topo Chico.
I would definitely come back to try more of their menu. They only had two people working. I was happy to see they were busy with customers on a Sunday afternoon.

I travel to California once or twice a year to visit family and this is my must have food while I’m here! I absolutely love the rueben and the gyros. The animal style and poutine fries are super yummy as well. Highly highly recommend!

This is the best Vegan food I ever have nation wide.
I have been traveling with my job on a weekly basis for more than 11 years and vegan for 9. I have eaten vegan food in every airport and State even in Mexico and Canada. Honestly the variety of the menu is great and the quality of food is awesome, I love that everything is made fresh and from scratch. The taste of the food is finger licking great. I really love this place

Food, as always, was amazing. But place is really short staffed with only one person cooking and one person doing everything else. So the wait was really long this time. Also there are no longer prices on the menu… so ask first, or you may be in for a shock. I hope they get more staff because I’d hate to see this place go under.

Awesome spot. I come here whenever I’m passing through. A great spot to go after coming down from San Jacinto on my way back to SD.
I always want to step up and support an all-vegan spot. As much as I appreciate “vegan options” on a menu, I really want to see places like this do well.

If you are new to Gentle Grill, you probably think they are delicious, however if you are used to what this place used to be years ago, it’s really gone down hill and is definitely not worth the money. Having not been there in a while, we were surprised how much things have drastically changed. We ordered a Gyro, Gyro fries and a One Love burrito. First off, the fries they use now are absolutely disgusting. They are thick and soggy and the Gyro fries both only had a few strips of meat. The meat is another huge issue as it used to be finally sliced and now they are too lazy and just put these nasty chunks in the food. This really cuts down on the appeal and taste. The portions also have shrunk from years ago and none of the food was even that good. My gyro was mostly lettuce and had only 4 strips of the thick, nasty meat. I paid a ridiculous amount of money for basically lettuce, tomatoes and stale bread. The bread was dry, falling apart and tasted old. I think the only reason they survive is because they are the only vegan place around, but places like Native Foods would 100 percent put them out of business. Wish they were the Gentle Grill of the past. Overall, a huge waste of money and we won’t ever be back.

My hubby went full Vegan last October and I, of course, said “not for me”. Sorry, not sorry, but I like hamburgers and pastrami and roast beef.
Tonight we decided to have date night at the newly opened “Gentle Grill” all Vegan restaurant on the corner of Margarita and Pauba in So. Temecula. Oh my goodness was it GOOD!
If you or someone you know is Vegan, I HIGHLY recommend. I was really doubting there would be something for me at this plant based eatery, but everything we had was incredibly delicious. Flavorful and filling. Looking forward to trying everything on the menu and I’m so happy we found a place that we both can enjoy and choose anything off the menu without my hubby needing to substitute his meal down to grass and dirt.
Please give this place a try so we don’t lose another “off Old Front Street” restaurant. Thanks TT!
Here are the pix of what we had tonight.
