I stopped by Genova Pizza in downtown Pittsburgh and honestly it was way better than I expected. The pizza came out super fresh and hot, crust was just right, and the cheese had that perfect stretch. The place was clean, staff were nice, and service was quick. Definitely one of the best pizza spots downtown.Must go for it!

I’ve made deliveries here on my days off but never sat down to eat. I’m so happy I did tonight. Customer service is excellent. Nothing but smiling faces and great energy from behind the counter. Stopped by for a slice of pizza after the Pirates game. I asked for a slice and the kind young lady said yes we have cheese and you can add anything to it. So I got pepperoni on it. It was very tasty and hot! If I had more time I would have sat and had some beers. The bar looked cozy and comfortable. Thank you for the great service and food! I would recommend!

They say don’t judge a book by the cover. This bar finds a way to create a home town vibe while being in the heart of the city. The bartenders treat everyone like family despite having the whole bar, phones, and dining room to themselves. Paige and every bartender puts their all in to making this restaurant feel like home. The owner called me to apologize for the error. He delivered my hoagie to my building and offered me a free sub on my next order. I appreciate the customer service. Everybody makes mistakes but I appreciate them rectifying the situation. They will continue to get my business! Best buffalo chicken hoagie in the city just make sure to ask for extra sauce.

I’m a loyal customer of Genoa. I love their buffalo chicken hoagie. It compares very well to Pizza Milano on 5th Ave. I normally have no issue. Today was a different story. I ordered a whole buffalo chicken hoagie for take-out. They gave me a whole italian hoagie. I didn’t realize until I got back to my office. I called them about it and let them know. I returned to Genoa and gave them back the italian. They gave me the buffalo chicken. I returned to my office and opened foil wrapper. Half of the buffalo chicken didn’t have chicken. It was just cheese and buffalo fries. I brought that hoagie back and explained to them that this was my 3rd time in the store. They said they would make me another hoagie and I could wait. I told them I don’t have time to wait as it took my whole lunch break to resolve this issue. I asked them to refund my order. They did refund my order but did not offer anything else as restitution for my time. They lost a very loyal customer that worked right next to them. Everyone in my office was asking me why I kept leaving with my hoagie. I explained to them all the situation. I doubt anyone in my building will be going there anytime soon. I also have to work with no lunch or lunch break because of this issue.
