Just take the okra off the menu. Please. The breading is way too thick and they taste like they’ve been in the freezer since last year.
The wings were good (good size, cooked with a perfect crisp) but the lemon pepper didn’t have much lemon flavor. The pics don’t show the CRAZY amount of grease that were seeped into the wings. So much grease that it squirts out when you take a bite. Bring an apron or bib if that’s not a deal breaker for you.

Gemma’s was great. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was even better. I heard about the food at this place and everyone told me it was . I ordered wings, a hot link, the hush puppies and baked beans. It was fire. I couldn’t choose between the different sauces, so I ordered lemon pepper, hot honey and the chile mango. All were delicious. The hot link was delicious as well, I got it sliced with some BBQ sauce. The hush puppies were good and went well with the ranch dipping I ordered for it. Last the beans were flavorful, it seemed like they had green chile in them and were a little spicy. Lots of other items that I couldn’t fit in today but I’ll be be back! Thought the desserts and the brisket will be the next selections. Go here and eat, you won’t be sorry!

Solidly middle of the road experience. Looks like the obvious reason to come here is the wings, nothing else seems consistently good. Sadly I didn’t get the wings, but got the fried chicken sandwich instead.
I’m on a mission to find a good fried chicken sandwich in town from a place that brines their chicken before frying. Genna’s sandwich had very similar vibes to a Popeye’s sandwich but wasn’t particularly good, although it seems like it has potential to sometimes be good. The bun, mayo and pickles were promising but the chicken itself was dry and tough like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. Breading had an unusually dry and almost sandy texture like it had a lot of cornstarch in it or something.
All in all, might come back one or two more times to try it and see if they’re consistent but first visit wasn’t what I was hoping for.

Today was 3rd time I visited Genna Rae’s. I live over 45 minutes away, if that tells you anything about this place.
When we got our food and opened it to eat outside the restaurant. We saw 3 guys walking towards the restaurant with a smug look on their face.
A look like they knew what was up.
Never been disappointed in terms of portion size or price at Genna Rae’s. It’s huge and fairly priced.
Jerk Burger is THE BEST burger ever. Its huge. None of the pictures on the reviews do it justice in my opinion.

I thought I was going to get some really great food here! The food was TERRIBLE and very Disappointing! I spent $60 on overpriced low quality food. I guess they pre-make the sandwiches because the bread was soggy and the food looks as if It was just reheated and sold to us. I ordered a fish sandwich and a cheeseburger both lacking flavor and crispyness. I also ordered the wings which is the only thing that saved the food. The fries clearly tasted as if they were from the frozen section of the grocery store soaked in oil. Lordt! It was a mess. My first and last time. I threw it in the trash.

First time coming here and I was very impressed. I ordered 36 wings and got the honey hots, garlic hots, jerk, and honey BBQ. All were fantastic. The hot flavors weren’t so hot that my face was sweating and that I felt like I had to get through them, just really good flavor and the perfect amount of heat. The honey hot, garlic hot, and jerk were the best of the four, I can’t pick…. Maybe the honey hots were the best. Glad my friends told me to come here. Will definitely be back again. Also, they got the whole order done in like 15 minutes, though, it was like 220pm when I ordered, so not super busy, but I was still impressed with the speed.

Genna Rae’s is the truth. Great food!! Ribs, jerk chicken, catfish, wings, greens, Mac & cheese, baked beans and the surprisingly good sweet potato salad… oh an that rum cake was . The customer service is off the charts. Naz was amazing, very professional and ultra personable. Can’t wait to go back again before we get outta town.

5 stars. Been wanting to try this place for a while and wasn’t disappointed. Got the catfish sandwich (crispy) and loved it. Ordered brisket and Mac for a 2nd meal in the evening and also thoroughly enjoyed them. Gotta say though, their waffle fries are some of the best I’ve ever had, great seasoning. Surprised more people don’t mention the waffle fries in their reviews. Also, online ordering and pickup was a breeze.

I refuse to get wings from anywhere else! Their wings are not 50% fat like other places it’s all meat and bone and I don’t think I could ask for more you can order different counts of wings as well as all flats or all drumsticks (for an extra cost). I just ordered 24pc more recently to try more than just their hot wings. I’m grateful I did because now I’m addicted to more than one flavor. Only place I recommend for wings

Stars for the smoked, tender oxtails. Everything else was a no ♀️. Im so sad because I really wanted to like this place, but other than the oxtails, the food was soo bad. Tough brisket, overfried okra, plain mac n cheese and I got a 6 piece lemon pepper wing that I hoped would’ve made up for that brisket but no.
