Oh rail! Location closed December 31, 2016–lease up and they did not renew. I kept hoping they would change their mind so waited to post but nope. Some of the staff said they will be scattered through the other locations, but not sure how many will be. Sadness.

OMG…get the spicy wonton if they have it. Occasional special at this location. The name does not express how great this dish is. See pics. Can see this as an app at an upscale Waikiki restaurant for much more money. Two huge very crispy wonton skins decked out with spicy fish, thinly sliced green onion, sweet chili sauce, and the best crunch. Architecture + food = yes, please!

Went back after the hubbub and was pleasantly surprised. Upgraded to 4 stars for food, free and plentiful parking, and possibly the only drive-thru sushi joint in Central Oahu, plus 1 more star for outstanding customer service. This location off of Kamehameha Highway has arguably the largest, freshest portions on Oahu for this chain. Conveyor belt sushi has gotten a bad rap elsewhere, and I get it. As few as 4 years ago, I might not have reviewed this place positively. But you know what? They got better, and I dare you to find a better cooked kabocha tempura for the money. Just look at the pics and see for yourself.
Light, steamy, fresh, sweet, beautifully sliced pieces of tender pumpkin. Golden tempura batter, fluffy, not greasy, and with a perfect crunch when you bite into it, this stuff is worth more than the few bucks they are charging. Check out the pics.
Raw fish dishes are good, filling, and with lots of value for the money. And yes, the stuff is very clean.
Got kids? Worried about them having raw stuff or they hate fish? Let them try any of the fish-free choices, from French fries to noodles to salads to edamame to little baby cucumber rolls, perfectly sized for small fingers. Or the corn gunkan, generous servings of corn kernels in a slightly sweet mayonnaise sauce served over vertically nori-wrapped rice. Kids love the taste, but tell ’em “gunkan” means “warship” (think about it…even sounds like “gun-can”) and watch them have fun driving their “sushi boats” around the plate. Or order them the tamago nigiri, with gigantic slices of egg omelette. See the pics.
Favorite: the salmon karaage. Always generous with the portions, well-prepared salmon slices are tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. Topped with thinly sliced, fresh green onion & a teri-based sauce mixed with sweet chili sauce and mayo, but if you don’t like sauces, ask them to leave it off.
The customer service is on point here, and they will stop by to check on you regularly. Free refills on the drinks, and kids’ cups have a lid, straw, and you can take it home for later. Nice!
We come here often, and would return. Prefer this location to others for value, variety, and overall fun for the family. Rail construction is probably still hurting the place, besides the months-old scallops scare (and no, it wasn’t even at this location but the company closed every location just to make sure). I bring my kid and older folks here and we have NEVER gotten sick, if you are, you know, just wondering. 😉
Military discount Monday through Thursday: 10% off with ID.

It was okay sushi for the price. The garlic seared tuna was amazing … That garlic mayo they use must have something addictive in it because one I had one of those that’s all I wanted. The prices were cheap if not a bit cheaper than one would expect for such foods.

I get my sushi fix here 2-3 times a week, their spicy ahi is the best around the area!!!! Trust me, i live here past for 3 months and tried every sushi place around pearl city and up towards schofield, this is the best so far. Raw fish is fresh and not a lot of mayo, fresh vegetables… Purely perfet!!!!
