They were serving a crawfish boil platter which looked amazing. But I ended up ordering a lobster and salmon salad and a cup of their delicious gumbo instead. The salad was a nice big size and portion. The salmon and lobster were a good size and portion too. The gumbo was full and had a good flavor with a nice spicy kick. ( $50 for crawfish was too steep of a price for me , coming from the south where we’d get them at a fraction cooked and live by the sack to cook. )
I’ve been to this restaurant /pub a few times before and the food has always been served at the right temperature, and tasted like it should. Delicious and with good portions.
The service was great. Friendly , fast , and making sure we weren’t too low on our drinks.
The noise level was high bc there was a lot of people and the band was playing. This reflected in the atmosphere scale but not the overall experience. Normally , it’s pretty easy to hear someone speak across the table from you.
This Pub has chairs and tables but also bar side stools you can sit on if you prefer. They have an outside dining area too. They can whatever size party you come in with by pushing tables together , as they have for us.
The decor is like of the New England style casual pubs. But this one offers live music inside and when the weather is good , outside too.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming. You’ll feel like you’re at home. It has that Boston like New England hospitality charm. Like everyone knows your name. But it’s in Colorado , and more than likely you’ll bump into someone you know. Bc it serves good food and good drinks at affordable prices.
This location is in the corner of the L shaped business strip. There is lots of free parking . But if it’s busy , just keep driving down the parking lot towards the opposite side and you’ll find one. I don’t recall ever needing to use the restroom so I don’t have anything to say about it on this review.
Walking up, the smell was spot-on and really raised our expectations. It took a little while to be acknowledged, but it seemed like staff were busy cleaning up after a private party in the back, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt.
Once seated, we ordered a beer and my bride went with the Pinapalooza. After a quick clarification (the nachos are fries, not chips), we decided on the burnt ends and a Green Monster sandwich.
The burnt ends came out quickly and looked delicious. Still no drinks besides water. The brisket was tender, but surprisingly lacked the smoky flavor we expected from the reviews, and definitely from that amazing smell out front. The BBQ sauce didn’t help much either, as it was nearly flavorless.
Before we finished the ends, the Green Monster arrived—but still no adult beverages. The sandwich itself was underwhelming in size (not exactly a “monster”) and didn’t include any sides, those are extra. We asked both the waitress and the food runner about the drinks. Still just water.
The pork was very tender, but again, lacking flavor. The green chili didn’t add much either. The only bright spot? We finally got our drinks—about three-quarters of the way through the meal.
The Pinapilooza was about as satisfying as the meal: not worth the $14. Honestly, we would’ve been better off grabbing a bottle at the liquor store or saving it for some post-dinner ice cream. My beer was… fine.
I always try to give the benefit of the doubt and avoid overly negative reviews, but this one was tough. With a 4.6 rating, we expected way better. Honestly, the corner gas station might’ve done better with a microwaved BBQ sandwich and at a fraction of the cost.
Maybe it was just an off Saturday at 3 p.m., and hopefully your experience will be better than ours.
At least the setting was beautiful.
The owner dropped by to make sure we were happy.
Turkey was a bit dry, but everything else was fantastic. Great brisket and sausages. Slaw and Mac and cheese were a tasty bonus.
