We were camping across from the restaurant and decided to give carry out a try. I ordered hamburger steak with sweet potato and salad. If was as good as anyone else’s. I ate every bite. And for a side salad, it impressed me. My wife ordered grilled chicken with sweet potato and salad. She offered the same sentiment. Her chicken was two fillets and she ate one for supper and had the other the next day. Our order was done very quickly and the girl who handled our order was very pleasant. The restaurant is definitely no frills, but the food was good and not over priced. What a concept!! We will eat here again

This restaurant really should have some sort of literary name. The exterior looks like a run down building that used to be a car dealership in the 80’s. The interior isn’t much better, with wood paneling that is beautiful but very plain. You should note the booth benches have no cushions, so maybe pick a table and chair if you have a boney butt. Even the menus are almost absurdly cheap. You almost think it’s a running joke to spend the absolute least amount of money on menus as possible. But you can’t judge a book by its cover. Make no mistake, the service and food are off the charts. It’s as if everything else is mediocre to accentuate the high quality of the food. I will agree with other reviews about pricing. The experience needs to improve a bit before the pricing becomes appropriate. Regardless, there’s a very good reason why this place is a local favorite. I’d like to make special mention of the salmon and ribeye. Maybe Forks Between the Covers Restaurant.

My husband and I were very pleased with our meal. We enjoyed lunch at Generations. We did not see something on the lunch menu because we both wanted salmon on our salad instead of chicken. There was no issue with us ordering off menu and our salads were delicious! I was very appreciative of how they cut up all the veggies for the salad and chopped the lettuce. The grape tomatoes were even cut in half. The salmon was delicious and a generous portion. There is a single bathroom/toilet for wen and one for men. Bathrooms were clean.

First time eating in the area as an out of stater. Locals highly recommended so I gave it a try. Food was extremely basic and flavorless. It was all fresh but extremely general. My ribs came out cold and extremely fatty to the point I did not finish them. Home cut fries were good. Even the chicken on the grilled chicken Cesar was flavorless and hardly grilled. Not sure if this is good for what’s the locals but not from where I have already seen and taken. Even my 12 yr old was asking why it all tasted bland without and etc.

The food honestly was delicious, the stuff is extremely friendly and the restaurant was clean. It’s pretty common when you get a hamburger or cheese burger that it comes automatically with fries. It’s an extra $5 for fries with your burger. Your allowed either 5 or 6 topping with that being said choose your toppings wisely, ketchup is counted as one which you could ask for with your fries. Be sure to take cash or there is another fee for using a card. The food was tasty but $45 for 2 burgers, one topping over the aloud amount, 2 orders of fries which we didn’t realize it didn’t come with a side, 3 sodas and the fee of using a debit care was honestly more expensive then we ever would’ve imagined. We get burgers at other hand crafted places and it’s not that expensive. That $45 didn’t include the tip. We wasn’t the only ones questioning things at the register we noticed that happened while we was sitting and eating.i will say everything is fresh and the fries and burger are fresh cut and made in house.

Every place is bound to let you down from time to time. I have been here a lot, with excellent food and service. But this is my 1 time I asked for chicken wings with a dry season. Great taste for the couple that escaped the . I was asked for a replacement, and I refused. I figured that I would stick with the steak when I come back, and I will. I accepted what they brought me and still recommend them as a great place to come.

Generations offers excellent food and a good selection of dishes to choose from. They have one of the best burgers in the greater Jonesville/Elkin metropolitan area 😉
The Philly Cheesesteak and the Southwest Chicken wrap are an excellent choice too. I heard if you can handle the heat, try the brussel sprouts a special way 😉
