Tables were dirty.
I see how much work and time it takes to clean off a table and grills.
The music and decor was nice, and the service was great.
Pricy but worth every penny.
Be careful ordering, it was our first visit here and we got charged for premium and dinner price. Because we accidentally ordered a premium meat.
149.00 for 2 people is a bit much for one serving. This is an all you can eat dining experience. Make sure to scan the QR code on the table for the dinner price.
The food was okay.
Service was tolerable, not the best at all
Atmosphere was a little underwhelming, but still tolerable
1 being the worst I’ve ever had
10 being the best I’ve ever had
6/10. Good food, tolerable service, slightly underwhelming atmosphere, would probably not come back or recommend.
All the servers are great! Super attentive, welcoming, polite. Different ones passing by we’re able to put orders in for us. Till this day, I don’t know how our server was able to memorize our orders when walking by with his hands full of stuff.
Our most favorite dish of the night was, by far, just plain brisket since it cooked the quickest. We also enjoyed galbi short ribs, pork jowl, premium pork, and steak. We also enjoyed vegetables, pineapple, garlic chicken, and squid fillet.
Interesting discovery, they had tortillas and taco meat like al pastor. Had a different variety of salsas so one of our tables were having Mexican fusion.
Pro tip: We love to request for chili, raw garlic, bean paste, rice paper, pickled daikon, and only ask for salad with no dressing. We also enjoyed ordering a side of diced onions to go with our brisket for a little stir fry.
Some Costcos sell their gift cards, which really sweetens the meal!
I recently visited Jen Korea Barbecue, and I must say, everything was absolutely delicious! As first-time customers, we were a bit unsure of what to order, but our waiter, Julio, made the experience truly exceptional. He explained the menu in detail and provided us with great advice and suggestions that enhanced our meal.
Julio was incredibly attentive, ensuring that our food arrived on time and that we had everything we needed throughout our visit. His guidance made all the difference in our dining experience, and we felt well taken care of.
If you decide to visit Gen Korea Barbecue, I highly recommend asking for Julio. His knowledge and customer service will surely make your experience memorable!
Thank you, Julio, for a fantastic evening!
Once we got sat it was nice, but there’s also no fume hood. We ordered our meats and waited for at least 10 minutes for the first plate to arrive. My boyfriend and I were already getting really hungry and that’s when we checked the reviews. I don’t blame the staff at all I would say it’s bad management.
Now the quality of the food is another story, the first order of meat came in this unthawed block that was stuck together. It was still somewhat frozen and hard to cook since it was stuck. Compared to the other location in Chino Hills it’s much different. The quality was of the meats were extremely subpar.
This taught me to always look at the reviews and just be careful when you’re here!
