This was our second visit to this place. I was not pleased with our first experience, but this visit was the definite deal-breaker for us.
The hostess directed us to a table where the seats had visible hair and food crumbs. Before my children sat down, I pointed it out. She brushed it off using a menu, then placed that same menu on the table and walked away. This unhygienic handling was very disappointing.
The situation worsened when I noticed servers cleaning tables and surfaces while wearing the same gloves they were using to serve food. This was, by far, the most unhygienic dining experience we have had.
We were relieved that we ordered grilled items, knowing they would be cooked thoroughly. However, even our order was incorrect. The soup we received was not what we ordered, and several other items were also wrong.
Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing, and we will not be returning.

Food and service was good. We went for dinner. I’m not too picky with all you can eat KBBQ. However, I had to take off one star because the “Premium Chadol” (thinly sliced angus brisket) looked like it had freezer burn. And when cooking on the grill, it would disintegrate. (See photos). The texture of the cooked meat would be soggy and taste was mediocre. I always order chadol whenever I get KBBQ, so I know what is good chadol. The rest of the food we had was good, can’t complain.

Gen Korean BBQ never disappoints! It’s my go-to spot for KBBQ whenever I’m in Dallas. They offer a wide variety of meat cuts to choose from, and the lively dining atmosphere makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

One of the Greatest Restaurant in DFW. This place should definitely be in your must go list. If you are into live Barbecue with fresh proteins and meats, and vegetables then this is your place. Also to mention, they got great appetizers and snacks which will fill you up. Their Buffet menu (all you can eat) starts at $31.99 per person. The price still worth it because the experience you will get is so Amazing. The taste you gonna get is beyond Awesome. We went there 2 years ago and this time we definitely enjoyed this place. This was my first Korean BBQ. Service was very attentive. The meats were well seasoned. The tables were clean. We were seated quickly. Found easy parking spot but it was just 5:55 pm. I was prepared for $35-$45 per person. So much food though so go hungry. Brisket and pork belly was excellent.

First time here- this place is great.. they had a waitlist but they called our party super quick. The quality of the food is fantastic! Our serve: Britany (Char char) was very communicative and helpful. She gave us some great tips and recommendations. The manager Amanda is super friendly and wonderful. Love going to wherever there is a Gen! It is seriously so good! Best BBQ in the middle part of the US! Our server was kind and attentive and the food was super fresh! The cooking pan was changed a total of 5 times (or more) during our 1.5 hour dining visit. Always recommend anybody and everybody to come get some KBBQ! Rice is complimentary and upon arrival, your sauces are placed on the table with your Banchan. Our banchan for the Monday evening was the sweet mashed potatoes, pickled onions, kimchi (Napa cabbage and radish and cucumbers) the scent does linger on your clothes after visiting so be sure to take a shower after haha •͈ᴗ•͈
Vincent took very good care of us. He always had a smile on his face and made sure we got food whenever we were running low on our plate. Very kind man he is! Service was stellar and so was the food! I will be coming again for SURE! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Very disappointing experience at Gen Korean BBQ
I had a really bad experience at Gen Korean BBQ. Our waitress was extremely slow and inattentive — we waited far too long for service, They brought our meat with no side and nothing on the table. Even after we spoke with the manager, nothing improved.
They didn’t replace our burnt grill top, and instead kept putting fresh meat on the same dirty surface, which ruined the flavor and made the food inedible. On top of that, they were already out of salad by 7 PM — at an all-you-can-eat restaurant! That’s completely unacceptable and disappointing.
The food, service, and overall management were far below expectations. Definitely not worth the money or the time.
