Great food, and great drinks! Drink prices are very reasonable, as are food prices. Really loved the jalapeño hot honey pizza melt! Had a coconut margarita and the pineapple upside down cocktail as well, both were delicious and presented nicely. Very happy to have an affordable, delicious place to eat and grab a few drinks! Will be back!

We finally got over to Gem’s Ale House & Woodfired Kitchen for lunch. What an underrated spot in Greencastle! The atmosphere is super laid back and welcoming, and our server was so friendly.
Everything we ordered was phenomenal, way better than you’d expect for a small-town bar. (Even my son finished his entire meal and he NEVER finishes his food ).
It doesn’t get nearly enough credit—definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area. One of those places you go to once and instantly want to come back! I’m already planning my order for next time lol.

I had a really nice dinner here at Gem’s Alehouse on a Tuesday night. There was a special on their pepperoni flatbread which was delicious, and the fish tacos were very enjoyable. They have good music playing too, at a volume that drowns out other tables but you can have your own conversation.

Absolutely a Gem in Greencastle!
We stopped in for lunch and left blown away. This place is the real deal! The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of character, set in the historic old GEM theater building with its cool vintage vibes mixed with modern touches.
Perfect for a casual night out, family dinner, or just grabbing a drink. The wood-fired pizzas were outstanding! Crispy, flavorful crust with fresh toppings that had that perfect char from the oven, and for a very reasonable price.
The bartender was friendly, attentive, and excellent overall. The staff made us feel right at home. Whether you’re local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and make Gem’s a stop. Cozy, tasty, and genuinely hospitable. Highly recommend!

What a great place! We got the meat lovers pizza and French fries. Everything about both was wonderful! Generous toppings, delicious sauce, and incredible crust! Server was very friendly, helpful and efficient. Will definitely return!

This place is great. This place used to be B-sides Pints and Pies. They rebranded and it’s now called Gems Alehouse & Woodfired Kitchen. I’m not a drinker but they have decent taps and an interesting drink menu. My wife and I tried the hog wings with the Chipotle sauce and the burger basket. Then we ordered the jalapeno bacon hot honey open-faced castle melt. Everything came out very hot and was tasty but the pizza could have used more hot honey on it. So don’t be afraid to ask for extra. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us fairly often. She was very friendly and made helpful suggestions. Sadly she didn’t give her name though. Lots of menu options and things I want to try. Excited to go back. Good improvement BJ!

We saw this new place on door dash and were SO excited to try it, the food sounded great. Unfortunately the experience was absolutely awful. Our dasher waited there for almost 30 minutes for our order after the order had already been placed for almost an hour. When the food got to us it looked decent but a bit burnt. I got the blue devil and my boyfriend got the yo Adrian. We both started eating and immediately could tell the meat tasted really off. We both only ate a couple of bits and immediately became super sick, throwing up and stomachs cramping. Pretty sure we got food poisoning from it.

We waited almost 50 minutes for our orders. Once they arrived, some were luke warm to cold. The server was friendly,.so I don’t blame her, but I’m not sure I would recommend this place for a meal. The place didn’t feel busy and it seemed they had enough floor staff but the wait for food was not acceptable.

The menu has such great options, it was hard to choose just one! The drink prices are super affordable. Fried pickles (spears) have the perfect ratio of breading to pickle. The fish tacos were so fresh and delicious. Our waitress, Courtney, was the sweetest thing, and she couldn’t have done a better job! I can’t wait to come back!
