I tried them out while they were on campus. They were giving out free samples which was very kind. I tried the watermelon flavor, it was amazing. It had a hint of watermelon, the ice was very soft and it was almost creamy. I would definitely go to this location to try other flavors.

Tried their chorizo breakfast burrito today – sakes alive! Everything was handcrafted and fresh – even the tortilla. It was a fat burrito and unexpectedly filled me up. (I thought I was going to need two.) It came with an optional side of homemade green chili, which was super flavorful. And the price was amazing. It’s the best deal in the valley right now. Oh, and the Gelu Brew dark roast was a nice accompaniment. Gelu has proven they can do Italian ice right – their latest venture into coffee, pastries and breakfast burritos shows they can succeed in their expansion of offerings.

Looking for some good Italian ice, googled and this place came up. Drove there to find out it is the warehouse. The owners were there and invited me in and were very polite and courteous! They offered me and my friend samples and they were delicious! Very refreshing! We had pinacolada slushy drink and a mango Italian ice both were great! When you see this company please make sure you try them, you will not be disappointed!

We liked the shaved ice they had at the farmers market in front of the Houston Museum of natural sciences. However, the owner, Ms. Melly, was very rude to us when we inquired about an event that the museum itself was running in collaboration with vendors like itself outside during the farmer’s market. This event was a 20% discount the museum was offering for its own store after presenting a flyer that the vendor should have supplied after purchasing from them. We understand that miscommunications occur, but the conversation was immediately sour on her end. She did not allow an opportunity to properly explain ourselves before being defensive. Definitely spoiled the enjoyment of the shaved ice.
With that said, the employees were very nice to us and were not in any way related to how the owner spoke to us.

My first time going to the food truck Friday I experienced probably one of the best Italian ices I have ever had the privilege to consume. I would recommend this to anyone who loves sorbet like snow cones. I had the Mango Nada and I would say I am excited to go back and get more.

The people who work here are some of the kindest, most knowledgeable people I’ve ever encountered. They seem to get really excited when they find out that it’s your first time eating at their place. The people I encountered had endless amounts of patience, and they answered every question I had.
The Italian ice itself tastes GREAT. Most of the ingredients they use are fresh and locally sourced, with the exception of things like chocolate chips. It’s delicious and very reasonably priced.
There are very few allergens present in the Italian ice. I have wheat and egg allergies, and my stomach is completely unbothered.

Went here for the first time on a family vacation, with my dairy allergy it is sometimes hard to find compatible dessert places, this place was great! Awesome flavors and great customer service, definitely wish they had a location where I’m from, they most definitely deserve 5 stars ⭐️
(To answer the question bout where I’m from, my family and I are from Florida so quite a ways away but again loved Gelu! The closest thing we have at home is jerimiahs Italian ice and even most of their flavors have dairy unless it is a fruit flavor )

I love this place! I’ve been going here since before the pandemic and I can’t tell you how glad I was when I found out they made it out of the shutdowns! I love their to-go options, and I find myself buying the to-go quart more than the regular cups! This is a lovely little place and I’ve recommended it to all of my friends and can’t wait to go again! #LoveGelu #buzzybooth
