I was SO VERY EXCITED to try this place! I ordered $50 worth of food and picked 3 sides and a large pizza so I could get a feel for the food. The young woman on the phone said it would be delivered in 25-30 minutes (I live less than a mile away.) An hour later I got my food, which – I wouldn’t have minded however, everything was cold. The mushrooms soggy of course, as any fried food would be an hour after frying. The most disappointing, the tomato bread. I raved and raved about the tomato bread to my teenager as I always got from the Portage establishment and my son took one look, laughed and walked away! Because I paid for it (and tipped my driver) I tried it. It was terrible. It was dry, lacked flavor (!), and was cold. I peeled the cheese off and two tomatoes and put it on my pizza so as not to waste. I’m very disappointed. I hope in the future I am able to edit this review because this was a TERRIBLE first impression, especially for someone so looking forward to this place.

Although not a new pizza place, it is new to Griffith, and although downtown Griffith has quite a handful of pizza places to pick from, you’ll want to put Gelsosomo’s on your favorite list!

The pizza is always delicious. Unfortunately there was a miscommunication about my topping on my pizza. But they were quick and friendly about correcting my order. I want to thank Chris for the awesome customer service and he personally redelivered my order. You guys did awesome and I will be ordering from here again and would highly recommend!

Great thin crust pizza. Sweet sauce very similar to another large local pizza chain. Would of been 5 stars but they didn’t include the side of extra pizza sauce I asked for when placing the order online. The sauce is that good that I even ask for extra on the side. Guess that’s why I should always check the order before I leave the restaurant.

Very good food and great pizza. I order from here once a week and love everything I order. I had one issue with a delivery order and called the restaurant and they had a new pizza at my house in 30 minutes with their apologies. They recently opened so mistakes are to be expected but they are very happy to fix them if you bring it to their attention.

I decided to try the Gelsosomos in Griffith for the first time. I love in Griffith so I was excited because the Crown Point one is so far. My first impressio, placing an order over the phone was not good. The employee was rude. I almost called back and was going to cancel my order . I want to say the girls name was Laura but I’m not 100 percent positive. I picked up my order. Still not very friendly atmosphere. Then when I opened the pizza the thin crust wasn’t even cut through. The pizza was good though in my opinion. I probably will not be returning to this location, I’ll drive the extra miles to Crown Point when I want Gelsosomos. I don’t know how to add photos but I did take a picture of the pizza not cut

Ordered food from here first time and the saying goes first impressions go along way. My food was cold and it was a hour n half wait an I only two blocks away!! The pizza looks like cardboard pizza an my tomato bread was cold looks like I warmed it up in a microwave an my mushrooms were sagging and when I called they were extremely busy which is a good sign but apond talking to the manager he didn’t really know what to do for us so he said he would give us a discount next order. We’ll bad impression I do t wanna eat there you pay good money to eat some where stick to what your use too. I wish I can give a negative one.

Came in and saw no one just another customer waiting for his food, saw no sign so just sat down and waited, then the girl came out and gave that guy his food. Not even a hi to us, she gave us our menu and told us that we cannot seat ourselves and wait for someone and then simply walked away. What got me was no greeting us just telling us that, so disrespectful, I work in customer service and you do not talk to customer like that, I can understand if ppl are rude but we didn’t even speak she immediately went to that, did think that was a big deal, at least say hi and then tell us nicely, we left right after that.

We had a wonderful experience here today for my son’s 6th birthday! Thank you so much to the manager who went above and beyond for us even though we were a walk in party of 15+ people. Our other plans fell through and we saw this new location right by the I Dig Dino’s place so it was a perfect after kids party spot! The food was amazing and the staff accommodated us in every way possible! They did ask we call ahead in the future for a large party so please don’t be like us and call ahead Thank you Chris!
