We offer a full range of 24 flavors of Italian gelato, made exclusively for us in Turin, Italy and shipped via New York. Our coffee is locally roasted and proceeds from every cup go towards Wilmington’s homeless.

Wonderful place to stop for a treat while you’re walking the water front. Several dairy free flavors (like dark chocolate, my favorite) and everything was delicious. Inside is quirky and clean. Staff were helpful and kind.

The gelato was good.
I sampled a few flavors but didn’t care for any of them. One I tried didn’t have a very good aftertaste.
I ended up ordering chocolate and mango without sampling them and was lucky that they tasted the best of what I had tried. However, I’ve had much better gelato with richer flavors elsewhere.
The interior has fun decorations and art.

This is one unique ice cream parlor. The flavors are very unique as well some of your traditional flavors but others are quite unique. I highly suggest getting the three scoops for $7 this way you can get a good feel of your favorite flavors in one bowl. The staff is friendly nice and offer really good suggestions if you tell them what’s on your mind and what you’re thinking about trying. And I like that in a staff something that’s appreciated and that they value their customers. When I’m back in town that is definitely one place I’m definitely going to check out again. One of the best gelatos I’ve ever had! Every time I go, I try a different flavor and I’m just in love with all of them. My favorite are passion fruit and nougat. Their coffee is amazing too!!! Perfect location at the boardwalk of downtown. The decoration is fun and vivid.

Oh my goodness! This was the best gelato I’ve ever had! My wife is gluten and dairy free. There were six flavors that were dairy free that my wife could choose from. She was super excited! I had Biscoff flavored and it was so good! I highly recommend this place.

We love coming here for gelato! Delicious and fresh flavors. Nice place to sit and enjoy. Clean bathroom. All the things! The young man behind the counter was so helpful and friendly. However, the young lady working with him was very unfriendly and unkind. We won’t let her keep us away tho!

Great, fresh flavors! Wonderful atmosphere and super nice employees. Pricing was good for us ($13.50 for 3 smalls) and the small was plenty for a light refresher after dinner. There were also other options on the menu that sound delicious. We would definitely return to try new flavors!

It had been years and years since I,ve tasted gelato and almost forgotten how good it truly is. Anyone and everyone that knows me…will also know I am a sucker for ice cream and this is very close to it, with less fat and a creamier consistency. So, for the first time, my wife, son and I visited Gelarto while we were spending our Sunday in downtown Wilmington.
FOOD: Medium cup (2 scoops) – 1 peanut butter and 1 Oreo cookies. The scoops are adequate in size and each one was packed full of flavor. With gelato having much less fat content than ice cream, this was a perfect dessert after we finished our lunch. The peanut butter tasted organic with all-natural ingredients. The PB flavor was nice and balanced; not too strong and the Oreo cookies gelato? Oh yeah. Loved it! For a guy whose kryptonite is ice cream…this may be another weakness I have succumbed to. Awesome flavors, creamy / soft consistency and nice scoops made this visit a very nice cap to the end of our day. SCORE: 5 STARS!!

Caroline asked and offered up samples since we had never visited before and made me feel very welcome, without any pressure of being rushed. Her service was on point and the overall establishment was very clean and tidy. I have no recommendations nor did I witness any opportunities for improvement. Impressive. SCORE: 5 STARS!!
