We traveled here for December. It was lots of fun. Some of the best food we had on our trip this time around! Finally getting around to making a review! What amazing hotel! I would recommend staying here as well, especially for the holidays and Christmas!!!!

GCH Craftsman Grill offers a quick and convenient spot to grab baked goods, snacks, drinks, hot meals, and more. From take-out to dine-in, they’re open from morning through late night. Entrance for most visitors (without a hotel reservation) is from Downtown Disney and through the Grand California Hotel lobby.
I love coming here to try out seasonal items or enjoy some of the regular menu items. There are plenty of drink options, including alcoholic beverages.
A few of my current menu favorites are the breakfast burrito, American breakfast, Angus burger, pizzas, and Hot Dog of the Month. The HOTM for Sept 2025 is the Cheeseburger Dog with fries. The combination of the cheeseburger and hot dog worked surprisingly well. The fries were coated, hot, and crispy. Overall, the meal was hearty and filling. Grab a few extra napkins, since it is a little messy.
The dining areas are generally clean and pleasant, featuring both Indoor (with AC) and patio tables just outside. You may occasionally encounter loud children and families, as it’s located in a Disney hotel.
The service has been friendly, and the food is served promptly and brought to your table. The staff also helps clear the used plates or you can bus yourself.

We ordered the Lobster Alfredo Pasta. $34 each. It is way too expensive. There is very little pasta served in a small bowl, with a very very little amount of lobster. I am not exagerrating when I say very little amount of lobster. It was probably the size of a pinkie. The only reason we came here were because all the dinner places inside the park were booked or full. The pasta was tasty but the price cannot be justified given the tiny portion size.

I did a few solo days at Disneyland and DCA and decided to give this place a try for breakfast. It was a nice breakfast from the parks as it was a warmer morning. The sun was out and I really looked forward to sitting by the pool and having breakfast. But I will say I was a little disappointed in the service and the food. The atmosphere was amazing. The pool view was amazing. I had high hopes for the French toast but was very disappointed in it. They were not busy and service was difficult to get. Wasn’t what I expected for California Hotel restaurant at Disneyland. The fresh fruit that came with the French toast looked good but was really flavorless. I’d like to think I just caught them at a bad time, but I was pretty disappointed in the whole experience.

The quality of the food at this breakfast restaurant is excellent, everything was fresh and well prepared.
The service was amazing, with attentive and courteous staff. A highly recommended experience to start the day at Disney.

Highly reccomend the frittata, great place to just get away and relax with little to no noise, currently a little bit of roofing construction going on so expect a little noise, other than that tj was my server she was wonderful, and the vibes were immaculate

Really good food for a “snack bar”. We were looking for a quick bite to eat before heading to the room and Downtown Disney isn’t very quick. I was concerned that it was is billed as a snack bar, expecting a refrigerator full of cold sandwiches and a steam table full of old food. They did have chips and such on display but all of the menu items were made to order. We ordered, got our drinks and sat down for 5 or 10 minutes and they brought our food. Everything was hot and fresh. The portions were good and the service was as friendly as you expect from Disney. I saw a couple sharing the nachos and they were huge.

Enjoyed a relaxing lazy lunch at the Grand Californian Hotel Craftsman Grill after 3 solid days at the parks. The grounds are beautifully decorated with manicured landscape and poolside dining. We enjoyed our meal under the umbrellas which perfectly shaded us while allowing us to enjoy the sunshine. Our waiter was attentive, friendly and our food was good. I had a steak topped salad and my son had the massive pork nachos. Only thing we regretted was removing the jalapeños and cilantro. I would definitely go back again.

Had the charcuterie pizza. It is pretty good bar food. The pizza is definitely big enough for two. Drinks were good as well. It is a nice setting to sit at night because the pool lighting adds to the atmosphere. All of the staff was very pleasant.

So we selected GCH because of these reviews and it was a mistake. Our food took over 35 minutes to arrive. We had two salads, a poke bowl and a burger. My burger was raw and the fries were cold and stiff. The manager told us of some kitchen issues he said the fridge went out. The server said the “stove” went out. So who knows what the problem really was. Point is there was a problem. Attempts were made to remedy but damage was done. I had higher expectations of Disneyland resort restaurants.
