The WOSRT service I’ve ever experienced. I was told a 30 minute wait and then had to wait 2 HOURS. When I approached the host desk to ask how much longer I realized that everybody who came up to complain about the wait was seated immediately! It didn’t matter how long they’d been waiting… that isn’t fair. People who arrived long after me were seated way before me. I’m okay with a wait for a busy restaurant but I’m not okay with being forced to wait 2 HOURS because the host is letting people cut the line. WAY understaffed. TOTAL mayhem. Garbage. Buffet was ransacked by the time we were seated. We were punished for not being Karens. Btw we were staying in the hotel. Ruined our last day in San Francisco, the hotel wouldn’t even give us late checkout. Took up our entire morning. Stay away!!!

Gorgeous space, especially in the morning with the light filtering gently into the atrium. Unfortunately, that’s the most positive aspect. $39 for an Eggs Benedict is outrageous, especially since their rendition is just fine but not outstanding. Service was brusque and inattentive – we had to flag down staff to take our order and just to get water. No wonder they tack on a mandatory service charge even for a party of 2.

The place is historically beautiful and mesmerising one can spend hours sitting here. It’s so beautiful. I had dirty chai and strawberry dipped in chocolate from the counter just outside the GC where I mettthis amazing girl Anni. Next time I am going to stay in palace hotel for a day for just the royal historical experience

I love this place after a long walk from the street, me and my husband hang out in here for some coffee, tea and chocolate sponge cake is tasty and moist. They’re only open on Tuesday & Thursday from 4-9:30pm. How I wish they extend the hours.

Absolutely stunning architecture and style, breathtaking ceiling. Comfy chairs. But the menu and service were underwhelming. I had to wave people several times and we didn’t get our order taken for 20 mins. They were out of 2 of the 3 desserts listed and the one they did have: ice cream with berries tasted like cheap overly icy vanilla and literally 3 berries on top. The mint tea was weak though they did offer to refresh my water at some point. Not sure it’s worth ordering here. Just hang out and talk, it’s so pretty.

The newly opened GC Lounge in the Palace Hotel offers an elegant place for business networking and friendly conversation over tea, cocktails, savory bites, and desserts. Their communal table is especially good for executives needing some quiet time to catch up with their work and emails while on the go. I believe it is amongst the finest places for business networking in downtown San Francisco.

Don’t waste your time and money. Hostess and servers are not friendly – annoyed that you are there. They use the excuse that they are too busy to provide prompt service (waited about 15 minutes until gettingup to ask for serveice). Horrible for a “high-end” buffet. If you don’t have reservations, which you’ll need, go elsewhere. If you have resrevations, go eslewhere.
