One of the owners waited on me while I was there. He was nice and I could tell he cares a lot about his food and restaurant. And for good reason! This pizza is fantastic! This spinach and feta pie is delicious. I added a sprinkle of garlic salt and was drooling over it. The crust! Perfectly thin but nicely chewy. The flavor and texture was amazing. It even reheated well for leftovers. I shared with friends but now I’m secretly disappointed that I didn’t keep it all for myself. Ha! I’m definitely going to go back!

I can confidently say this is the best pizza I have had since moving to Pittsburgh! I had a white pie, and the garlic butter combination with kale was amazing. You can taste the time and quality that goes into it, the crust alone is worth coming back for!

This place is hands-down one of the best pizza spots I’ve ever been to. From the first bite, you can tell how much care and quality goes into every pie. The crust is perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside—and the toppings are always fresh and generously portioned. The sauce is rich and balanced, and the cheese is melted to perfection. Every visit is consistently outstanding, and it’s clear they take pride in what they do. If you’re even remotely a pizza lover, this spot is an absolute must-try. I can’t recommend it enough!

I tried Gavino’s Pizza recently and was really impressed. The crust had a nice crisp bite but was still soft in the middle, and the sauce actually had flavor – garlicky and herby without being too sweet.
The cheese was melted just right, not too greasy, and the toppings tasted fresh and were spread evenly.
Overall, it felt like a pizza made with care, and I’d definitely order from Gavino’s again.

My friends and I were waiting (freezing) in line for a show at the Roxian and stopped in to warm up and get a slice (actually, two slices each for a really good price with drink). The owner was super friendly, the service was fast, the restaurant was warm and clean, and the pizza was AWESOME. Huge slices, lots of sauce, cheese and toppings, hot and delicious! Two slices was a whole meal! If I find myself in McKees Rocks again, I know where I’m eating!
