Went to Gaul & Co. Malt House for lunch and it did not disappoint. Their wings are perfect, crispy, juicy and are a perfect appetizer. We go the Polish kielbasa cheesesteak (Wit or Witowski) which was delicious and the Malthouse Burger which was also phenomenal.

The place looks great, it’s an old church made into a bar. Super high ceilings which adds to the whole atmosphere.

Highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food!!!

This place has been on my list to try since seeing the kielbasa cheesesteak. Definitely worth the hour drive. Not only was the cheesesteak great but also, the wings and burger. The atmosphere is super cool.

Pretty tasty food but the whole place felt so empty, it should have been smaller for how slow their service is moving these days. It’s a really nice place with almost no fault, I’d say and I got to enjoy this tasty sandwich so I 100% recommend. ❤️

So, I have been going here for a while to get the Wit or Witowski hoagie. Its pretty good but always pretty pricey. Anyway, recently they switched to seeded roll option, its about $2 more. Before the seeded roll I *used* to spend $19.09 but with the seeded roll its $22.46. You pay a premium for the seeds, I get it, I am not upset about that. I ordered one today, though, avoiding the seed option (as you can see in the photo) and they *still* charged me $22.46. They also *conveniently* left out any indication of what my item was *at all* on the receipt. So, just be careful and double check what you’re paying bc it *feels* like they’re trying to take advantage of people they *think* wont notice. Edit after Response: I walked in specifically looking to check the price difference, so while I wasn’t *given* an itemized receipt by the restaurant, I don’t believe the one I signed is itemized. They have the only copy, so I can only go off memory.

Edit, as you can see from the response, both their seeded and normal rolls are the same price. A practice that in my experience is uncommon, so its pretty easy to see how there is confusion as to why the same product costs more conveniently as a new product is rolled out. This is something that *clear communication* about cost changes could’ve solved. Yall can decide.

The basement has karaoke on Saturdays after 9pm. The bar downstairs is limited though. Upstairs gets really hot with limited fans. Drinks and food are good though.

Very cool spot – we tried the scrapple fries, kielbasa egg rolls and the kielbasa cheesesteak. Highly recommend all, so good!

Since Iron Hill closed, this place has quickly become our go-to spot. It really fills that casual neighborhood brewery void for us. The beer selection is decent. It isn’t overwhelming, but with enough variety to keep things interesting. Whether you’re in the mood for something light and easy or a more flavorful beer, there’s usually something solid on tap. Even better, the food is consistently good, which is what really keeps us coming back.

They absolutely excel at their cheese sauce. It’s rich, creamy, and somehow makes everything it touches better. You really can’t go wrong with the cheese fries or the mac & cheese. They also offer several different types of fries, and honestly, you could easily make a meal out of them. The portions are generous, and the toppings are well-balanced.

They have a variety of pizzas and the specials always add an interesting twist to something. Normally, an entree and a variety of burger or sandwich.

Another standout is their kielbasa. They have some really tasty options, including a signature kielbasa sandwich and flavorful kielbasa egg rolls that are a fun twist on a classic.

They also host a seafood night on Wednesdays (I believe), and it tends to be pretty busy. Specials like lobster pizza and crab nachos make it a popular evening to visit. Overall, it’s a reliable, relaxed spot with crowd-pleasing food.

A nice surprise to find. Stopped in because we were in the neighborhood. We were the only customers , due to it being so early in the day. Good beer list, good wine selection. Service was attentive. Shepherds pie was a delight. This place is cavernous. It is a converted church. Three bars, on downstairs that is very reminiscent of a grotto, one across from a large stage, then the one in the back for larger parties.

Our office ordered lunch today. Everyone said how awesome the food was so I was excited to try. I went with something that I was sure couldn’t be bad – a burger (malt house). I guess no sauce or anything comes on the burger so if you order it ask for sauce. I was really disappointed. No sauce but the burger itself was juicy so it made up for it a little with how well it was cooked. But it was so greasy to the point the burger was just sitting in a ton of grease in the container which made the bottom bun really soggy. I ordered queso for the fries and didn’t get it so didn’t really eat the fries either because I do prefer to dip them in something. They didn’t taste good (zero salt or seasoning I could taste) but they look like fresh made fries which I like.

I was disappointed in their hummus too. Pita is super good. Hummus was subpar (also a seasoning issue it’s missing a couple things). I think this spot is adorable though and the service is great. I just am disappointed with the food I’ve had so far. Maybe get their specialities instead? I hear the Notorious FIG is really good.

Was very nice. Was having dinner with my son who just moved to the area. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. My sandwich was very good, large(took half home) but very good.
