We’ve visited Gaucho’s since it opened in Highland. What an amazing place, finally something different in the area. The owners are really nice and are personally involved in the cooking and running the restaurant.
The restaurant itself is not a big venue, arrive early. On Sundays, they are serving their food truck options. They’re all amazing!! We’ve had everything in the menu, and there’s a little bit for everyone.

We frequented this restaurant when it was in Fairview Heights and finally got a chance to visit the Highland location.
We made it in during happy hour and I got a $5 raspberry margarita. I was prepared for what you might expect from a $5 raspberry margarita, but I was wrong. It was fresh and a perfect balance of tart and sweet without being overly syrupy.
We shared the 16 oz ribeye and from first bite, it was heaven. Flavorful, beautifully marbled, delicious.
I also loved the vegetable of the day, honey carrots, and my boyfriend liked the crunchy fries a lot. The plantains I ordered were a little over cooked, but that didn’t keep me from eating most of them.
Overall, we had a great time and awesome meal… we will be back!

Excellent meats, just perfect. You kinda cook it to your preference and it’s seasoned good.
The fries are weak but I guess you don’t go here for the fries.
The service was ok, there was a bit of a wait for the food but so worth it.
We also got the provoleta it wasn’t what we were expecting but it didn’t taste. Ad.
You need reservations.

5Stars Fried cheese, filet mignon, honey carrots, everything we had was amazing. All the flavors were dynamic. The chimichurri really brought out the flavor of the steak. If I lived locally this would be my weekly treat for myself

Been waiting to try this and it didn’t disappoint. Went on a Tuesday and it was wonderful! We were met by Claire who was attentive, knowledgeable, personable, and we never felt rushed.
We both decided to do “The experience”.
Both chose filet mignon, one with mashed potatoes and one with Brussels sprouts. Delicious!
Clair stayed with us showing how to use the rock and how long so that our meal was enjoyed from start to finish!
We also enjoyed Malbec and Blue Moon mango.
Get out and check this place out! Enjoy something new, and keep it local!!

Absolutely the worse experience I have had at a restaurant. Food took 2 hours to get to us, my pork chops were hard enough to build a house. The wine I wanted $28 a bottle wasn’t available but guess what the $50 was. Shocking I know! we couldn’t get limes or lemons. We were told we could not get rice but then minutes latter people were served rice. I spent $150 on a meal I couldn’t eat. And the owners wife suggested I maybe needed a sharper knife.

We really enjoyed our first visit to Gauchos. We were in the area to run an errand and decided to stay for dinner. After a quick Google search we found Gauchos and was intrigued by the stone cooking experience.

I ordered the Flamed Grilled Chicken filet and my husband ordered the 14oz Latin Seasoned Ribeye. Both were delicious! I also really enjoyed the flavors and texture of the rice side dish that accompanied both meals. If you enjoy your steak on the rarer side you may want to remove it from the stone (because it continues to cook on the hot stone, as you eat).

What really made our meal shine was the Chimichurri – it was definitely special and absolutely delicious. Thank you for a great dinner!

We shared the fried cheese appetizer, each had the ribeye StoneGrill which was a new experience. The key lime tart was a small dessert ☺️.

StoneGrill is your choice of meat brought out on a 750* rock and had salt in our case for the steaks. I was amazed at the quality of the meat. It was superb.

I found the process of slicing a piece off, grilling it myself on the rock, and then letting it cool to be quite fun.

Definitely come and have something in a new experience.

Highly recommend, this is a treat! The food is 2nd to none. Try the appetizers when you go! The steak was a 16oz and covered the stone before we tore it up . The stone experience was unique-your steak cooks on the stone at your table, the server tells you all about it. The flavor was amazing. They do have paper menus if you don’t want to use the QR code- just ask. This is a gold nugget restaurant and I’m so happy we ate here. Our friends had the pork chop and chicken breast and they also loved it. I wish I had taken pics of the plated food because the chef made great effort to make it look so nice!

Had a great date night at this place. The food and experience was great! We had the T-bone steak delivered on a lava stone. I would highly recommend this place and I’m glad this is here is Fairview Heights.
