When I walked into the restaurant, I saw this beautiful horse mural on the wall. Absolutely stunning.
It felt like the perfect symbol of good luck for the year ahead, starting with an amazing meal here at Gaucho’s. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, which made the whole experience even more special.
Highly recommend!
The atmosphere was very nice, calm, regal.
The food was very yummy, I especially enjoyed the lamb (I’m assuming they fixed their lamb based on earlier reviews).
The only drawback was that they did not seem to offer all 16 cuts of meet advertised.
It was one of our party members birthdays and we got the papaya cream which was very yummy both on its own and with the optional liqueur.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming without being over-the-top. The staff was attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced — never hovering but never leaving us wondering where someone was either.
The food was outstanding. Every cut of meat we tried was cooked exactly right, tender, and full of flavor. The gauchos clearly care about what they’re serving, and it shows. The salad bar was fresh and well-stocked, and everything tasted was high quality.
What really stood out, though, was the service. On a busy Valentine’s Day (which is not an easy night anywhere), the team handled everything smoothly and professionally while still making us feel relaxed and taken care of.
We left full, happy, and already talking about when we’d come back, which is the highest compliment we can give a restaurant.
Louisville has some great dining options, but Gaucho Urbano delivers a true experience, not just a meal. Highly recommend.
What really made the experience even better was the service. The manager, Alex, was always attentive and made sure everything was perfect at our table. He checked on us several times and made us feel truly welcome.
If you’re looking for authentic Brazilian steakhouse experience with excellent service and high-quality meats, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended!
The salad bar was incredible. It was fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with so many delicious options that it could honestly be a meal on its own. Everything tasted great.
And the steaks, wow. Perfectly seasoned, cooked exactly how we like them, and unbelievably tender. The variety and quality of the meats were outstanding. Easily some of the best we’ve had at a Brazilian steakhouse.
The service alone was worth the visit. The staff was attentive, friendly, and constantly making sure we had everything we needed. They truly went above and beyond to make our experience special.
My family will absolutely be coming back. Highly recommend.
Despite paying for the “full experience” with 16 meats, we were mostly offered the same sausages and chicken legs multiple times before seeing much steak. In total we were only served about 8 of the advertised items, and actual steak portions felt limited. Most of the steaks were overcooked (we ordered medium and medium-rare but received well-done), tough, and under-seasoned. The garlic steak was the best of the bunch, but still overcooked with flavor mainly on the outside. The lamb was especially disappointing… extremely dry, overcooked to the point of being burnt, and lacking seasoning. Some of the other meats were also cooked far past their ideal doneness and came out very dry. The sausages were good and the chicken was decent, but we came for steak.
The salad bar and sides were okay but underwhelming, though the cheesy potatoes were a highlight. It seemed that regardless of the experience or menu item you choose there was no difference in the types of meats they brought around to all tables.
Overall, the service and atmosphere were excellent, but for nearly $60 per person the food quality didn’t justify the price. We left disappointed, especially given the focus on steak.
