Reviews
We were sat in a nice spacious booth, which was comfortable and keep us fairly private from other diners.
The waiter was polite and friendly.
Nice food and drinks menu.
Very quick service from ordering to table on both courses.
Great steaks and lovely side dishes.
Great restaurant for group gatherings.
We went for lunch around 1:30 pm and the restaurant was completely full, so advance booking is definitely a must. We had booked the set lunch menu and absolutely loved the vibe—lively, elegant, and perfect for a relaxed lunch.
We ordered the Breaded aubergine with mozzarella, Grilled chicken paillard, and mushrooms on toast. The food was decent overall, though the aubergine was a little disappointing as it was fried rather than baked, which wasn’t what we expected. That said, everything else was fine.
Overall, we really enjoyed dining here. Great atmosphere, excellent location, and a lovely place to spend a leisurely lunch in Covent Garden.
Loved it and would recommend without hesitation.
For starters, we had the prawn chicharrón and the three-cheese empanada — both were delicious and full of flavour. For the main course, we went for the rump steak with chips, perfectly cooked and really tender. To finish, we shared the dulce de leche pancake, which was absolutely fantastic — the perfect sweet ending to the meal.
The total came to $51.90 for the two of us, and we left very happy. Excellent value, generous portions, and top-quality food. Highly recommended!
On arrival we clearly explained we had the voucher menu, yet we were also handed the normal menu. Only later did we realise the “special” Buyagift menu we were given was priced at £109 — for a meal that would have cost around £50 directly in the restaurant. It felt like a complete rip-off.
We asked to speak to the general manager, Christina. While she apologised, she refused to help resolve the situation, saying the voucher had already been redeemed and there was nothing she could do. When we asked her to contact Buyagift, she declined and said it was Friday so no one would answer. That response was extremely dismissive, especially given this was our anniversary celebration.
To make matters worse, the service charge was calculated on the inflated £109 amount rather than the actual value of the meal we were served. We left feeling overcharged, misled and completely let down. What should have been a special evening turned into a very disappointing and upsetting experience. I would not recommend.
Overall a very average meal, I’d visit again for lunch and try something different but nothing special.
