This place is so chill. Their cinnamon rolls are ooey gooey, melt in your mouth goodness – especially when you stop in early and they are still warm from the oven! They carry a variety of baked goods, breads, coffee, and have great selection of tea (loved the blueberry mountain)!

This place is absolutely awesome! I live just 4 minutes away and knew I had to check it out. It’s very clean and the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee and their delicious croissants. I also tried their cider donuts, which were amazing. It’s a great space to have a conversation and soak in the charm of Geneva. Highly recommend!!

Our favorite neighborhood spot! My daughter and I love to come here on weekend mornings. She loves the play kitchen (and the real pastries), and I get to enjoy a coffee and a book while she plays.
We have also made multiple pre-orders at the holidays, and I highly recommend all items!
Their bread is amazing, especially the focaccia.

I just wanted to thank you for the delicious croissants and cinnamon cake that I picked up this morning for my work. I work for Northwestern Medicine inside a small family physician office in Geneva and I picked up a dozen and a half of your croissants and the cinnamon cake this morning. Everything was absolutely delicious and everything was eaten within the first two hours of me, placing it in our break room! Typically when food is brought in, there can be things left over, but everything was eaten, and everybody raved about how delicious and fresh everything was. I have gone to you before to purchase croissants for my family and I have stopped in on my way to work at times to get myself a scone or a cup of coffee and have never been disappointed. So grateful that you are local and in the community. I live in Batavia and I visited you when you had your boardwalk shop and then when you moved to the storefront in Batavia that you shared with a couple other vendors I visited you there, but I’m grateful that you have your own place as well. Will definitely be back and I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work and providing delicious and fresh baked items. I ordered Thanksgiving items from you already on your website so looking forward to that and hopefully I’ll be in myself before Thanksgiving to get myself a little treat! Highly recommend!

Finally, a proper local bakery in Geneva! At least since we moved here in 2020. They always have freshly baked goods, and we stop by at least once a month for breakfast. Most weekends, walking over to pick up our weekly sourdoughs has become part of our morning ritual.
The plain sourdough and the BLACK OLIVE one are simply *the best*. The closest we’ve found to what we used to have in Brazil and Italy. In our opinion, they’re the best breads we’ve had anywhere.
The service is always sharp and courteous, and like with any great local spot, we’re consistently rooting for them and happy to be regulars.
Highly recommend checking them out. Support your local baker!

I went and bought a dozen of their croissants for my design class as a treat since we finished a extremly tough project recently. Everyone said the pastries were good (they were delicious) and we finished them pretty quickly. The place has friendly staff, helped me out with more options for croissants. And I was in and out no issue which was nice because I was running late to class. Thank you!

Stopped there to get a simple loaf of wheat bread. But there were very few loaves of bread there to even buy. Waste if time, so won’t go back. UPDATE: The owner was nice enough to explain why their stock was low, so now I understand that they don’t carry over bread. I did come into the store within 10 minutes of closing, so I will try to come much earlier next time. It sure smelled good in there, too!

So hard to pick a favorite thing here! My go to place for a “little treat” — the cinnamon croissants, cardamom buns, and pop tarts — and a coffee or tea drink (beans and tea leaves also from small businesses in the area).
I’m also a big fan of the jalapeno cheddar bread and focaccia year round and the pumpkin sourdough in the fall. Really the only spot to get fresh bread and authentic sourdough.
Gather has also decorated custom sugar cookies for me for gifts and events that receive so many compliments for their detail and thoughtfulness! The cookie classes are so fun even if I will never be as skilled as Deanna. 😉

Everything I’ve had from Gather has been so delicious, but a couple of weeks ago I went in search of their famous eclair cake I’d been hearing so much about. Unfortunately, it’s not something they always have in stock. Eric, one of the owners, said it’s something they tend to make over the weekend, so I ordered one to pick up the following week to bring to work.
Let me tell you: This cake brought everyone to the office! I mean, who can resist cake and coffee for breakfast?! But really, it was just as delish as everyone had been saying, with the perfect combination of crispy layers, cream, and chocolate!
Chicago’s west suburbs are so lucky to have a bakery like Gather! Next up, I’m looking forward to attending one of their cookie decorating classes with my kids!

I came in yesterday to try for the first time. There was not a huge selection but I did come on a Sunday towards the end of the day so I knew there probably wouldn’t be a lot of baked goods. I ordered a cookie and macaroon. The cookie was pretty good and decent size but the macaroon was very hard and old. I unfortunately threw it away. I’ve been on the hunt to find good macaroons and this definitely wasn’t it.
