There’s A Secret Speakeasy In The Middle Of O’Hare
Reviews
I ordered scallops and painfully bit down on a hard, round object.
The server took it back to the kitchen and showed the chef who said it was “bone.”
Knowing that it wasn’t bone, and I was being gaslit, a quick google image search revealed that they didn’t properly clean their scallops and it was a scallop pearl!
The whole situation was horribly handled. We paid our bill and left. We have since then been in contact with Hilton management, and have been otherwise ignored.
Avoid avoid avoid.
Love the decor and atmosphere, service was professional, food though pricey was delicious! Worth the visit!
A big reason could be the LARGE SQUISHED CRICKET present in the food but at baseline the best I could say was “meh”.
Surprisingly when we showed them the cricket, they would only comp the dessert.
Decent enough spot for a drink and some food, but it’s really all about the entertainment.
Be warned if you are being brought by uber/lyft, I put the name of the restaurant in as my destination and they dropped me in the middle of a (not so) secure lot at the center of the airport!
My first thought was that this was not the place for me, a bit too fancy for my typical fare.
The hostess made me feel welcome, the bartenders extremely welcome. They were incredibly professional, polite, and fun.
The club itself has a fascinating history, the bartenders I spoke with had been there for a significant amount of time and one took me on a short tour filled with details and insights. The history and was fascinating and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I had a filet and a few drinks, all were delicious and well made.
There was live piano and some singing. Outstanding and honestly, it just made me happy.
Few places pride themselves on actually delivering an enjoyable experience, this place nails it.
Overall, I could highly recommend a visit and I would absolutely come back again.
The food was tired. The waitress was tired. The menu was tired. The room was tired. The highlight was the live music, so at least I had something nice to lull me to sleep.
