I stopped as I love to checkout local businesses with packed front parking lots. As expected the “Seat your Self” dining room was at almost 75% capacity, three waitresses! I didn’t wait long for my order at all. SuperFAST: they just didn’t have pita BREAD /gave a flour tortilla instead / love the pita meat . Price reasonable.

I just ordered dinners of fried chicken. 1/2 chicken dinners.
First, the half chicken is 2 breast 2 wings.
Second, there were feathers on some of the chicken. Gross, would you like to find cowboy hair in your hamburger? Feathers are disgusting and tells me how much attention is paid to the prep.
Finally, its so dry! That’s why I prefer dark meat as does my family.

I got the chili pony. It was delicious! My boys got waffles and pancakes. The waffles are AMAZING and the family that runs it is are the sweetest. Can’t wait to go back!

New owners are stepping up the game at Gary’s Restaurant in Freeburg. I was in the mood for breakfast and this huge veggie & cheese omelet was great. I also had a slice of pumpkin pie, which was very good. Not quite finished with the renovations, but looking good. Can’t wait to see the completed version.

Great place to grab breakfast lunch or dinner. They have breakfast buffet on Saturday and Sunday. And a lunch/dinner buffet on Wednesday and Sunday.

We had the best experience! The young man waiting on us was polite, respectful of all the diners, there were a lot of elderly, welcoming them by name. The food was home good cooking, generous portions. A group of men were meeting there and they generously had taken care of our bill! We thanked them and chatted a bit. We were here from Wisconsin for an event at the Air Force base, will try and go there again while we are here!
